Having been here for three months, it's safe to say I really like working at Justworks. Here are the top 3 things that's made it special: 1. Viewing speed through a long term vs short term lens - A car zig-zagging down the highway may have a faster immediate velocity but one that drives a straight line without constantly stopping for breakdowns gets to the destination much quicker.  - Justworks is firmly the second, with time given to engineers to move our tech in a way that increases our overall speed and a strong prioritization of work/life balance that has led to the best retention rate of any company I’ve been at. 2. Clear, consistent strategy - You can ask almost anyone here what 4 things we’re focused on right now and you’d get consistent answers.  - Despite our success up to this point, there’s an urgency about how much more we could do and a realistic roadmap to get there. 3. Strong culture of engineers sharing knowledge and helping each other out across teams. - Bi-weekly meetings for front end, back end, quality, etc. are great casual forums for asking questions & sharing findings and the Slack groups for different shared tech are incredibly supportive and well used. #culture #strategy #organization #leadership #retention #velocity #speed
