However, electric-powered light mobility vehicles, such as microcars and e-bikes, need smaller, lighter batteries, significantly reducing their environmental impact. Did you know? A single 100 kWh battery for a large EV can be split into: - 10 microcar batteries - 20 micro-electric vehicle batteries - 250 e-bike batteries! For example, in Germany, producing a 0.4 kWh e-bike battery emits 40 kg of CO2, compared to 4,500 kg for a 50 kWh electric car battery (Brost et al., 2022).
