🛰 How can you save costs AND maneuver with ease? 🛰 By using differential thrust. This way your propulsion system is independent of your spacecraft's architecture. Whether you need to maneuver in orbit, land on celestial bodies or dock with other spacecraft, the use of just four GATE Thrusters can handle it all. Balance any changes in the spacecraft’s center of gravity, save costs and maneuver precisely. #space #newspace #technology #innovation #propulsion

Could carbon fiber be the secret fuel driving our journeys through space? Yes, it's true. Carbon fiber is finding its way into space exploration. Its application in satellites, rockets, and spacecraft components is pivotal, significantly slashing launch costs. This advanced material's strength-to-weight ratio makes it ideal for crucial parts, enabling efficient propulsion and maneuverability in space. By leveraging carbon fiber's durability, space agencies optimize payload capacity without compromising structural integrity. Its versatility aids in crafting intricate and reliable components that withstand the extreme conditions of space travel. With carbon fiber's integration, the future of space exploration becomes lighter, more cost-effective, and poised for unprecedented advancements. #nitprocomposites #carbonfiber #spaceexploration #innovation #composites #strength #lightweight

Yet another example of why the FAA should not be involved in permitting space exploration activities. Why would you issue a launch permit without a permitted, implied or expressed, reentry? What about a separate landing permit, or a parachute permit, or a splash permit? The FAA is the wrong place for space permits, period.
FAA now requires reentry license to prevent spacecraft getting stuck up there — Popular Science

In-space propulsion is a critical bottleneck for the space economy. Industry forecasts indicate a surge in satellite launches, with an estimated 58,000 satellites launched by the end of 2030—four times more than in the entire history of space flight. The expansion of our space "area of responsibility" from geo-synch to cis-lunar orbit represents a staggering 4,000X increase in the volume of space we must navigate, placing unprecedented demands on satellite maneuverability. Phase Four is proud of it's partnership with #RedwireSpace to bring the #Valkyrie family of Hall Effect Thrusters to the market. As an all-US team, we expand the much-needed domestic market for this class of propulsion systems. Based on the best-in-class NASA-designed H71M, the Valkyrie provides the flexibility to meet nearly every PLEO mission type, and the total impulse to meet cis-lunar dynamic space operation needs. At Phase Four, we take pride in supporting national security requirements and driving growth in the private space sector. Join us as we continue to make strides in space technology. And we're hiring! #SpaceTechnology #SatellitePropulsion #SpaceEconomy #PhaseFour #ValkyrieThrusters #RedwireSpace #NASA #CislunarOrbit #Innovation #JobOpportunities #SDA #dynamicspaceoperations #DSO #nationalsecurity https://lnkd.in/ewcdMJgk
