Wow, I’m beyond humbled to see Thyme Care in STAT announcing our capital raise, and I couldn’t be more proud to share this moment with the entire Thyme Care team! This is a significant milestone for our company and a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone who has helped us get to this point.  Our existing and new investors believe deeply in the mission we’re all working towards and the impact we’ve had to date. This financing paves the path to profitability for us as we expand our model across the country. Through our financial arrangements with payers and risk-bearing providers, as well as our unique partnership with oncology practices,  we are creating an entirely new business model around the way cancer care is experienced, paid for, and accessed.  These funds will support the expansion of new health plan coverage, power provider growth in new regions, and enable us to better serve the needs of cancer patients and their families and caregivers. Also, I can't thank our newest investor Concord Health Partners and existing investors a16z Bio + Health, Town Hall Ventures, CVS Health Ventures, Echo Health Ventures, Foresite Capital, AlleyCorp, & Frist Cressey Ventures enough for believing in us! The cancer care journey remains a challenging one in today's healthcare system. Navigation, access to timely care, and affordability are just a few of the challenges cancer patients face. A year ago this week, I was diagnosed with cancer. My outcome wouldn’t have been the same without one of the top cancer institutions in the world - Memorial Sloan Kettering. As I recovered, I wondered - what could I do to give back? What tools or skills do I have to offer to the cancer community? (My philosophy is that turning a hard experience into something good, for others, is the best way to heal… while having an impact.) One cold LinkedIn message to MSK’s wonderful Head of Innovation Hub, Rick Peng, and several meetings later - It is my honor to share that The Venture Mentoring Team will support MSK’s brand-new iHub Challenge this fall, on the one year anniversary of my cancer journey. We will offer mentorship to the startups in this exciting new digital health accelerator program, and will host Office Hours to help startups prepare their pitches for demo day.
