Young people, it’s not just about studying, working hard, or simply partying. Make time to unwind—hit the gym, take morning walks, or have a digital detox, but make sure to disconnect. This is me playing softball, disconnecting and reconnecting with my inner child every time I pick up that bat or glove. #newyork #softball #disconnecting #digitalmarketing

Teamwork makes the dream work! When athletes sync up emotionally and physically, how does it affect their performance? Carleton University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Psychology Professor Chad Danyluck explored male volleyball players' emotional connections and heart rate synchronization during warm-ups. Even though emotional sync and heart rate sync didn't directly correlate, both impacted how players and coaches rated performance. Emotional sync made players feel like they played better, while coaches linked heart rate sync with better performance. What does this mean for team sports? Could enhancing sync boost performance? Supporting Your Child on the Sidelines: Avoid These 5 Common Mistakes Being there for your child during their football matches is important, but sometimes our well-intentioned support can backfire. Here are five common mistakes parents make—and how to fix them: Over-Coaching: Leave the game-time instructions to the coach. Focus on positive encouragement instead. Criticising Mistakes: Mistakes are part of learning. Praise effort, and turn errors into learning moments. Getting Too Emotional: Keep your cool! Your calm support helps your child focus and enjoy the game. Undermining the Coach: Support the coach’s decisions to avoid confusing your child. Address concerns privately. Focusing Only on Winning: Shift the focus to growth, teamwork, and having fun—because that’s what really counts. Supporting your child in the right way can make all the difference in their sports experience. Let’s ensure we’re fostering their love for the game and helping them develop both on and off the pitch. ⚽👨👩👧👦 #YouthSports #ParentingTips #FootballParents #playerdevelopment https://lnkd.in/gGg-Ftcd

Basketball, compared with football, is a more meditative sport. In football, you shoot at a giant goal, but usually whilst running, with a couple of defenders and a goalie in the way. No surprise that most shots miss the target. Basketball can be chaotic too, but in a real game, there are moments where it’s just you, the ball, and the basket. All you have to do is push the ball with the correct power, in the right direction, and it has to roll off your fingers without slipping or losing balance. And the only things that can stop you are not having practiced enough… and anxiety. No wonder that basketball is good at preparing kids for life. There are risks, pain, and a lot of disappointment. But there’s also camaraderie, growth, and pure unfiltered joy. And at the end of the day, there is no question about it: playing basketball is worth it! Want your child to learn basketball or to improve their basketball skills? At Schloss Leizen, we’re offering a basketball holiday camp for kids of all ages and skill levels. #sommercamp #summercamp #basketballcamp #summercampgermany #summercampgermany2024 #resilience #teamwork
