There will always be amazing and easy situations and unfortunately, from time to time, there will be difficult ones, and challenging conversations and negotiations to be had. This certainly holds true in the world of Recruitment. I think one of the most important parts of all of these, is… HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE DURING BOTH THESE EASY AND DIFFICULT SITUATIONS!! If a Company is passing on a Candidate, do you still call the candidate, have an honest conversation and let them know? If a Candidate is not interested in a Company, do you still call the company and give them some honest feedback? If something doesn’t work out how everyone thought it would, are you there to talk things through and make it right? Anyone can be there in the great times, but I think how you handle those difficult situations, and how you treat people during them, says so much about you, your team, and often times, builds the best partnerships!!
