Last week, we had the chance to be part of the jury for the #VideoGames table at the 10th Edition of the Audiovisual Pitching Sessions, organized by Clúster Audiovisual de Catalunya at Disseny Hub #Barcelona. 🎮 We got to watch five awesome pitches, share our feedback, and meet the teams afterward. The Studio Syro team had the opportunity to participate in the Meta Presence Platform Hackathon in NYC! A huge thanks to the Meta team for coordinating this fantastic event! We're thrilled to announce that we placed in the top 3 in the "Casual Games" category! Introducing our mixed reality game, "Plooms": Life in the universe is dwindling, with only a few planets left. Our player, along with these cheerful "Plooms," are all that remain. It's the player's responsibility to jumpstart these dying planets and breathe life into the universe again with the help of our Mice-celium-like pals. We hope players will enjoy sparking "ploom" reactions, triggering each other to power up ecosystems right in their living room. "Together, we can Ploom again." We explored different avenues for mixed reality and potential use cases of the Presence Platform. We decided to focus on a room-scale game with a light aesthetic and simple interactions. Our aim was to augment your playspace with a mini-self sufficient ecosystem. Presence Platform features and tools used: Mixed Reality Passthrough Scene Interaction SDK Audio SDK Tools: MRUK Building Blocks Unity3D Quill for all Game assets It was a pleasure to work among all the other teams. The competitive energy was inspiring, and it was great to meet like-minded individuals and learn about each team's approach for innovating with this platform.
