While we all wonder why Natural Graphite is not having the same popularity as lithium in the clean energy revolution. The turth of the matter is most lithium batteries are made of synthetic graphite. Synthetic graphite anode materials hold the lion’s share of the market in the lithium-ion battery industry, but expectations of growing natural anode consumption have been under the spotlight due to their respective advantages in battery manufacturing. Natural graphite anode has the advantages of lower cost, high capacity and lower energy consumption compared with the corresponding synthetic anode. But the latter performs much better in electrolyte compatibility, fast-charge turnaround and battery longevity
