This year, there are over 600 events being hosted across five boroughs of New York City during #ClimateWeekNYC. So, as an event host, how can you make the most of your event and ensure it stands out? ⭕ Start by asking yourself; What are you trying to accomplish from your event? What key climate takeaways would you like your audience to leave the room with? Craft an agenda that is niche and focused on one topic as opposed to keeping it more general. ⭕ Diversify your event by inviting speakers, panelists and participants from different cultural backgrounds, sectors or industries. ⭕ Incorporate an interactive element to your event, such as a Q&A, a live demonstration, or workshop session. This will give your attendees a more memorable and impactful Climate Week NYC experience! Submit your event to be included in our official program calendar and make the most of the audience and network at Climate Week NYC! Deadline to submit is September 8. Heading to my first Climate Week NYC next month and could use some advice! As a consultant, I'm looking to make the most of this important event and potentially pitch my services to support any events happening that week. My goal is to attend events that will help me build connections with value-aligned leaders and explore ways to center frontline communities in these conversations. I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with Climate Week NYC—what were the must-attend events or sessions? Are there any tips for networking and making the most of the week? If you're involved in organizing any events during that time, I'd be very interested in discussing how I could help, potentially by interviewing speakers, moderating panels, or creating content for your social media. I'd love to find opportunities to bridge my passion for working on climate issues and my love of books. I create bookish content on TikTok (@triflesandvanities), and if any publishers are working on cli-fi events, I'd love to connect! Any insights would be greatly appreciated as I prepare for this exciting week in New York! Looking forward to learning from the Climate Week NYC community. #climateweeknyc #environmentaljustice #climatechange #climatefiction #storytelling

I guess young people do care about the planet.🌍 Opened up my emails today and saw my face in the Climate Action July newsletter connected to Sascha Robinson's wonderful 'This Month's Spotlight.' Sascha's article really resonated with me: "Occasionally, I'd see local #climate meetups advertised but the thought of walking into a room full of people twice my age wondering, 'Who is she?' and 'What does she know?', kept me from attending." Today, it's clear that young people aren't just the future—they're actively shaping it. From #grassroots movements to running for political offices, we're standing up and demanding change. I may have started at 16 but the fear of being the youngest in the room still hits when I enter a new space. What helps me over come this #fear? Taking a moment to Remember why I'm entering the space in the first place. Climate action isn't just about reducing emissions; it's about empowering our communities and ensuring a #sustainable future for all of us. #ClimateAction #YouthInAction #EnvironmentalLeadership

Our work doesn't end when the project is over; it's the beginning of a long-term conversation. At Milk, our 2018 collaboration with Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) was more than a project; it was a catalyst for lasting change. By inspiring our network of creators to address climate change through user-generated content, we ignited conversations that continue to reverberate today. From highlighting the heroes of the Paradise, California wildfires to challenging environmental policy rollbacks, our goal was clear: to drive awareness, spark conversation, and inspire action on climate change. #Earthmonth #agency #climatechange

Climate Week NYC is almost here!! 🗽 Who's hosting an event? If you are, our team at Climatebase wants to help spread the word about your event to our audience of 120,000+ newsletter subscribers and 60,000+ social media followers. (And if you're not, please 🔁 share this post to help event organizers!) For context, Climatebase organizes SF Climate Week, which attracted 18,000+ attendees across 350+ events organized by over 700 climate organizations this past April. So, I think we're pretty good at the whole promotion thing ;) And with Climate Week NYC coming up, we want to help share the best events of the week with our community! If you'd like us to spread the word about your event, now is the time to tell us about what you have planned! Tell us about your event here: https://lnkd.in/gSDukQPc Note: Climatebase is not an official partner of Climate Week NYC, which is organized by the wonderful folks at Climate Group. While we do not work directly with Climate Week NYC or Climate Group, our goal is to help promote and amplify the incredible work happening during this important week.
