We tackled contemporary challenges in education, focusing on design challenges and solution development. Here is what I learned: 🔵 Education is more than just certificates and degrees. 🌍 Teamwork in Organisations: a collaboration between ESB Business School, NC State University, and Université Côte d'Azur.   🤝 The collaboration between the three universities allows American students from diverse academic backgrounds to take 2-3-week courses in three European cities. The program's structure facilitates a progressive learning journey, emphasising the significance of experiential learning and cultural immersion in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.   🔎 The journey at ESB Business School involved a 2-week intensive collaboration with German students from the Masters International Business Development (IBD) and International Accounting Controlling and Taxation (IACT).   💡The learning focused on the dynamics of Teamwork in Organizations: How do we work effectively in an interdependent and diverse world? How is it to work with others from different cultures? I would like to share some insights from the recent roundtable that I had the privelege to chair "Advancing Sustainability and SDGs: The Role of Universities in Fostering a Sustainable Future", and which was held during the 6th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum organized by CLICKS' Public Programs. My heartfelt gratitude goes to two brilliant moderators who brought their expertise to our discussions: Mr. Patrick Paul Walsh, Vice President of Education at The Sustainable Development Solutions Network and Director of the SDG Academy. His insights into sustainable development and education were invaluable to our conversation. Alongside Dr. Paul, we had the inspiring Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, Executive Director for Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia at QS Quacquarelli Symonds. Dr. Fernandes' extensive experience in higher education and regional development undoubtedly enriched our understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. This vibrant discussion underscored the impressive efforts universities are making in crafting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their core missions and strategic plans. Institutions worldwide are not just teaching sustainability but are embedding it in their operations, research, and community engagements. Excited to have participated in the BMI Times Higher Education Global International Schools Forum & Workshop 2024 over these last couple of days!
