🎉 Today I have reached 3 milestones🎉
Milestones
10 years Accenture ✅
10 years as Consultant ✅
10 years with the same team ✅
❓ But wait a minute.. you didn't really work at Accenture for 10 years, did you?
No - I started working for Orientation in Objects, proposed by Tanja Schmidt, hired by Dirk Sohn and Tobias Kieninger. After a few years, Orientation in Objects was taken over by Trivadis, which was finally acquired by Accenture.
❓10 years as Atlassian Consultant
Not only as an Atlassian consultant, but also as a trainer and developer. I have supported customers with process implementations, customized app implementations and much more around the Atlassian universe. I have met many nice colleagues and inspiring customers and also made some new friends. Do I regret the decision to steer my career in this direction? No - the only thing I sometimes miss is having my own "baby", like a product to be responsible for.
❓10 years with the same Team
Yes- I'm proud to work with the same team as I started at Orientation in Objects Matthias Niete my former teamlead, Steffen Schluff my former mentor, Matthias Born who teached me all what I know about Confluence and XML and also Daniel Hecker where a new perspective is right across the corner.
🤯 But wait - that's not the Atlassian team at Accenture?
No, definitely not! Our team grew with each of the acquisitions. I'm glad that at least these funny four people are still working with me in the same area as Atlassian Consultants. Together we got to know the people from Trivadis, such as Gunnar Kalb, Nico Zinner, Torsten Hartwig and Michael Cocheteau. Michael is not only an Atlassian ambassador, he is also part of our delivery and a lighthouse for our customers in the stormy Atlassian waters.
And then, of course, there are our famous colleagues we now have here at Accenture. This acquisition was a big deal for me and others around the Atlassian Team. We have so many people here at Accenture that I can't mention all of them in this post who have influenced the last years. But I would like to mention a few pioneering examples. There's Rekha Priyesh, who empowers and inspires people, or Patrick Rutke, Isabell Klose and Melissa Posselt, who make great things happen both inside and outside our practice. And, of course, together with our clients. Their curiosity and cheerfulness is always a boost to start the day.
❓ Why do you write such a post about your anniversary
It won't be the last one if this kind, I promise. But I wan't to kick off my anniversary series with a huge 🎉 thank you 🎉. You weren't mentioned here? At least for now. Be sure that I'm glad we met and be sure that I also see you as my personal influencer for the journey of the last 10 years.
