I struggled to get up to speed after 10 days away from work, thankfully the KMicro Tech, Inc. team gave me plenty of grace to catch up. As we begin heavy planning for FY25 it is a critical month for all #Microsoftpartners we must reflect on what succeded and where innovation is required. It is a blessing to be able to have such an impact with a wonderful work family. And then Friday happened. What can I say other than we will not know the total ramifications of the #Crowdstrike update failure for at least 18 months? Well in my weekly video below I try my best to explain what happened and how I think we as a community should reflect and move forward. Let me be critically clear on one belief. It is hazardous for news outlets to report without validating their facts and understanding the industry they are reporting in. This incident could have happened to ANY vendor, it just so happened to one of the best Cybersecurity vendors on the planet. Please give all of our community grace and empathy as this will have lingering effects for months to come. If you want to debate Patch Management or SDLC processes please do it gracefully. In our industry, we tend to lean toward speed and automation, and sometimes that leads to critical mistakes.
