🎉Exciting News from Viva Technology!🎉 We are thrilled to share that our very own Faye Iosotaluno had the incredible opportunity to speak at the VivaTech conference in Paris yesterday! ✨ Joined by the renowned relationship science expert Paul Carrick Brunson, Faye engaged in a dynamic discussion on the ever-evolving landscape of online dating. They highlighted Tinder's pivotal role in shaping modern relationships and tackled the "Assumptions Epidemic" faced by the new generation of daters. The session delved into fascinating topics such as how AI advancements will revolutionize connections and bonds in the digital age, the impact of technology's instant gratification, the long-term effects of COVID on teenagers' formative years, and a nostalgic look back at 90s rom-coms. A big thank you to VivaTech for hosting this enriching discussion and providing a platform to share these insights. https://lnkd.in/gSje9z_y

The FTC reported that romance scams cost U.S. consumers $1.14B last year. That's enough to make anyone's heart skip a beat. That's why today, on World Romance Scam Prevention Day, we're partnering with Love Island USA star and snake wrangler, Rob Rausch. Together, we're on a mission to help you spot and avoid a different kind of snake – romance scammers! At Tinder, we're committed to creating a safer environment for meaningful connections. Our collaboration with Rob is just one part of our ongoing efforts to help our users to better protect themselves. We've also introduced 20+ safety features in just the last three years, plus in-app education like pop-up safety tips when we detect certain suspicious language in user conversations. Join us and Rob to learn how to spot some of the warning signs of a potential scammer. (Because the only thing that should make your heart race is a great match.) 👉 Ready to see Rob in action? Check out the video to learn more about being safer while looking for a potential match: https://lnkd.in/gxe3Z3Vb #TinderSafety #ScamPrevention #MeaningfulConnections #WorldRomanceScamPreventionDay

Each summer, Tinder welcomes a class of interns for our 12-week immersive Tindership program, with the goal of empowering growth, professional skill building, and real-world experience. A culminating project for our interns is the annual Tindership Hackathon, which brings teams together to tackle a selected problem and present their pitches to a panel of judges for the chance to win. This year, we had 16 interns working in four teams to propose new ways of making the next generation of singles excited about the possibilities of online dating! We’re thrilled to share a video they put together to highlight their experience. #lifeattinder #tinder #tindership #internship #hackathon

7moDear Mr Kim. I am writing to inform you of a serious breach of my privacy by Match Group LLC when it created, or allowed the creation, of an unauthorised account in my name by the Australian Plenty of Fish (POF) platform. The fake account contained a profile that was identical to my account with the Australian version of Match.com. Text, preferences, photos, and login details were all the same. The issue was reported to POF’s customer support team and legal department, but the response from both was unhelpful, with the latter stating that the unauthorised account had been created by a third party with no connection to Match Group. The fake account was visible on the POF platform for a whole month before being taken down, btw. I have been told that the creation of this account was likely not due to human error or a system-glitch and there may be many thousands of such accounts on Match Group platforms: a massive breach of privacy by your company. The legal advice I have received is to initially lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) for detailed investigation and possible legal action. Please regard this message as confirmation that a complaint has been lodged. Richard Harris
