What gets us in the holiday spirit at Strategy Labs? ☃️ You guessed it! Shipping cutoff dates. Nothing motivates us, or more importantly, motivates customers, like the urgent and emotional appeal of a holiday deadline: “Order by [date] to receive gift by [date].” The subtext delicately implies that if you don’t make the purchase… you might have a blue Christmas. 🥶 You can drive up your sales, meet customers’ high expectations, and save everyone some stress by communicating shipping cutoff dates early and often. When shoppers have a deadline, we’ve seen that they’re more likely to buy, sooner. With “last chance” dates looming, we recommend leveraging the holiday rush to encourage conversions. Try the following tactics: 🎁 Display countdown clocks in emails and on your site. 🎁 Highlight limited inventory: “Only 3 left, 2 in people’s carts.” 🎁 Alert shoppers when top products are restocked.
