Addressing the Skills Gap in Sustainable Packaging 🌿 📦 As sustainability takes center stage in the packaging industry, the need for skilled professionals becomes more critical than ever. Consumers are increasingly favoring sustainably sourced products, propelling sustainable goods to a remarkable 2.7 times faster growth than traditional counterparts, despite higher costs. Meanwhile, regulatory bodies worldwide are responding to public sentiment, enforcing rules on #single-use packaging and introducing extended producer responsibility ( #EPR) 📦While #Europe leads in these regulations, #Asia-Pacific and #North America are swiftly catching up. The current landscape underscores sustainable packaging as a focal point for global sustainability efforts. 📦In the midst of this growing demand for eco-friendly practices, major corporations are making bold commitments. 📦The emphasis varies: product manufacturers target 🤔 Scope 3 emissions, while consumer goods companies focus on upstream emissions. Notably, nearly 90 percent of emissions from food-and-beverage companies fall under #scope3 , with over 60 percent originating from upstream activities. Let's bridge the skills gap.
