Let's take an intimate look at Rory McIlroy's technique for spinning his chip and pitch shots. With footage taken directly from his last win in April of 2024, you'll gain a unique perspective on the precision and skill involved in mastering spinning chip and pitch shots. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, spinning your shots is simply the equation of AoA (angle of attack) added to Dynamic Loft (loft presented to the ball at impact) which equal Spin Loft. With a 58 or 60 we are wanting to get around 52 or so on that equation to maximize spin. If you want to go in deeper, send me a message and we can chat about it. But notice in the video how Rory strikes the ball first, beautiful AoA down while holding his lofted wedge open to add some good dynamic loft to maximize his spin. Here's a quick elevator pitch and game demo to the upcoming Legends of Learning educational game, Gravity Golf! What is Gravity Golf? It's a level-based golfing puzzle game that takes place on the "Gravity Golf Course," an interplanetary country club. Players must influence gravitational forces on each stage to help guide the golf ball into the hole. Get through all the stages to win -- and to learn more about how gravity works! Note - I do say "push and pull" at one point, in reference to the tug of war gravitational attraction plays between heavy masses in the game, but I should note that of course it's only a collective "pull" toward the center of mass at the end of the day!
