Hey everyone! This week I'm putting the spotlight on Jordan Pipersburgh, CF APMP! Jordan has been with Grainger since November of last year and was hired as a Proposal Specialist!   Before coming to Grainger, Jordan was working as a Proposal Specialist at his former company (ABM Industries). Outside of work, Jordan explains, "I enjoy watching and playing sports, traveling the world, educating myself cooking, and spending time with my wife and son." Also, a really neat and interesting fact is that Jordan holds dual citizenship for both the United States and Belize! When it comes to Jordan's career and what he's working on in terms of his development, he mentions, "I’m looking into developing myself as a senior writer and picking up additional certifications within the APMP that will enhance my knowledge and skillset." Before coming to Grainger, Steven worked in the Pharma Industry at Astra Zeneca. Outside of work Steven loves to play Golf as well as spend time with his family and grandson. A really neat and interesting fact about Steven is that he was a Soccer Referee for over 30 years (College and down). Happy Friday everyone! Had a really awesome time with these two gentlemen out in the field yesterday! Gavin, Manager of Onsite Services and Daniel, Onsite Service Specialist were able to join me at one of our energy manufacturers here in South Texas. We were able to discuss our KeepStock Solutions and Services and go further into detail with our customer on how they would be able to obtain everything they needed with our vending machines. From our reporting capabilities and user functionality, to our awesome onsite team members who do such an exceptional job of managing our customers inventory management programs and act as subject matter experts when it comes to managing the right products at the right time. Thank you again Gavin and Danny for all of your hard work, your support and providing our customers best in class service! You rock! #teamgrainger

Hey everyone! This week I'm putting the spotlight on Nick Zappone! Nick has been with Grainger for 2 ½ years and is currently a Field Account Rep covering Northwest and North Central Ohio. Before coming to Grainger, Nick explains, "I was a service manager and a uniform sales rep. for Cintas in Indianapolis, IN. Prior to my time at Cintas, I was an active-duty Army officer for a little over ten years. I served as a military police officer in Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Michigan, and Afghanistan." Outside of work, there are a few things Nick loves to do and is passionate about. He tells us, "Honestly, my second career as an officer in the Army National Guard is my biggest passion and it consumes a good chunk of my time spent outside of Grainger. I just returned from a 10-month deployment to Cuba in support of USSOUTHCOM and will be finishing up the Advanced Operations Course at the end of August. Other than that, I love spending time with my family, working out, and playing pickleball." An interesting fact about Nick is that, "I may have had had the coolest college job ever—I was the zamboni driver at Michigan State University’s Munn Ice Arena the year that the Spartans won the 2007 national championship. I always attribute my ice making abilities as one of the reasons they won it all that year (kidding obviously)." When it comes to Nick's career and what he's targeting next, he explains, "I think continuing to develop for the account manager role makes a lot of sense. I’ve been fortunate enough to engage in development with some excellent DSMs who have helped me increase my sales and business acumen. I also have a lot of respect and admiration for our virtual/field safety specialists. I cut my teeth as a FAR with Hollie Guidi CSP. Her expertise, professionalism, and the value she provides our customers is unparalleled. Developing in that direction is also very interesting to me as well." Had a great day in Tulsa, OK yesterday with Graingers newest Commerial Account Manager John A. Cook and his leader Rebecca M.! We were able to spend time and go out to lunch with one of our Oil & Gas customer’s, make introductions, and discuss the long term value that we’re going to bring to the table to help them procure with Grainger through some streamlined processes and secure critical items for their operations. I’m very excited to show our customers our capabilities and expand our partnership! Thank you very much for your support John, I can’t wait to work with you. Also, thank you Becky for your great leadership, it’s much appreciated! Maria and I came to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this past week until today to see her family, spend some quality time together, as well as unwind and relax. Always very grateful for the different unique experiences each time we come to Mexico. Until next time!

A few weeks ago, I got to spend some time with Cheryl Laughlin at one of our steel manufacturers! One thing I wanted to point out about Cheryl is that she always goes one step further to find the best way we can support our customer. On this day, we were seeking to understand our customers safety needs, what’s working well, what are some of the challenges they’re facing and how can Grainger support. Cheryl was able to provide a solution for each of our customers ask’s and we’re now looking at others ways we can support their operation. Cheryl, thank you for all that you do, I sincerely appreciate you. You rock!!! #teamgrainger
