Aerospace Engineering student at California State University of Long Beach | NASA L'SPACE Alumni 🚀| Head Coach at Long Beach Polytechnic High School
The L’Space Mission Concept Academy has been nothing short of amazing! I have truly learned so much already in only my fourth week. Team 28 has successfully completed and submitted the Mission Concept Review which is a document summarizing our mission plan. I have also obtained my Systems skills badge/certification. This module discusses systems engineering and how to effectively and efficiently make decisions as a team with respect to chain of command. #LSkilledUp #Team28 #LSPACEMCA #NASA

With the #NASA SEWP VI July 25th due date rapidly approaching, I'm posting more live videos showcasing various VisibleThread features. I'm assuming most Offerors have begun to put pen to paper so this week's videos focus on incorporating key customer language, win themes, and discriminators into your proposal volumes. This video showcases how you can rapidly search across your proposal volumes using a customized search dictionary . Let me know if you'd like a copy of my dictionary -- each search term was pulled verbatim from the RFP! #bids #proposalmanagement #automation #voiceofthecustomer

NASA's new digital modeling tool, Aviary, revolutionizes aircraft design by enabling aeronautical engineers to create and simulate innovative aircraft with advanced technology. Building on decades of experience with sophisticated computer codes, Aviary generates virtual airplane models based on user input like shape and range, producing detailed data on their performance. Unlike previous tools, Aviary integrates seamlessly with other programs, allowing researchers to combine various disciplines. Jennifer Gratz, leading Aviary's development, emphasizes its flexibility and expandability. Free and publicly accessible on GitHub, Aviary evolves through community contributions. Descended from NASA's Flight Optimization System and General Aviation Synthesis Program, Aviary bridges the gap between legacy codes and modern aircraft concepts like hybrid-electric systems. Kiko Dontchev - on point…… Just reviewed the Falcon and Dragon launch teams’ Q1 execution with @edwards345 and @Gwynne_Shotwell. The teams set records in just about every category: - Falcon, Dragon, and fairing labor hours and cycle time - Launch to launch time on all three pads and all three droneships - Two successful up/down astronaut missions for @NASA and @Axiom_Space - First ever Dragon 2 launch from pad 40 delivering cargo and research to the @space_ststion - Flawless execution on critical @NASA_LSP and @SpaceForceDoD missions, including Cygnus, PACE and USSF-124 - 31 total launches and a 12 launch/March demonstrating the necessary rate to hit our goals this year Most importantly, the team did all of this while reducing our injury rate and workmanship issues across the board. None of the records above count if someone gets hurt or we sacrifice reliability. @elonmusk always reminds us that the seeds of defeat are planted on the night of victory. Despite the record quarter, the team must stay humble, stay paranoid and stay hungry!!!

Collaborative Logic - Special Leap Year post – Decoding Leap Year – from https://bit.ly/3SVIIoi Approximately every four years, February has 29 days instead of the usual 28, which means there are 366 days in that year instead of the 365 days we are used to. This is called a Leap Year. But what brings this extra day during a Leap Year? According to Lyle Tavernier, an educational technology specialist at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Leap Day — another name for Feb. 29 or the extra day that month — can be explained by how long it takes the Earth to revolve around the sun. “The length of a year is based on how long it takes a planet to revolve around the Sun. Earth takes about 365.2422 days to make one revolution around the Sun,” Tavernier wrote. “That’s about six hours longer than the 365 days we typically include in a calendar year,” he added. As a result, to align our calendar with the Earth’s orbit, an extra day is added every four years at the end of February, known as Leap Day, accounting for the nearly 24 hours accumulated over that period. #collaborativelogic #cl #okc #oklahomacity #smallbusiness #it #helpdesk #leapyear

Mechanical Engineering Student at Kennesaw State University | L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy Summer 2024 | ASME Company Coordinator
A bit late, but this week I completed my Systems Skill Badge Module! In this module, I learned about how to apply systems interfaces such as N^2 Charts and Block Diagrams. In addition, I learned how to use the Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and how to interpret them. Finally, I got to see how Trade Studies are used in decision making and how they are set up! Overall this experience will greatly help me contribute in the completion of my team's mission concept as well as in my future endeavors. #LSkilledUp #LSPACE #NASA
