As an employer, it's essential to ensure that your staff knows how to handle unexpected situations. What would happen if they found a needle in the trash? Do they know how to report it? Who to call? It's crucial to prioritize their safety while on the job. It's not uncommon for clients to unknowingly dispose of hazardous items in the trash can, putting staff members at risk. Reporting these instances to clients is crucial, and proper disposal is necessary to prevent needle stick injuries. OSHA mandates that sharps, including needles and syringes, be placed in a sharps bucket and not in the trash. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Let's start a conversation about workplace safety and how we can ensure our employees are protected. #docsfs #employeesafety #employeetraining #savinglives #safeguardinglives
