It’s National Back to School Month, and we would like to recognize our incredible interns who recently completed our nine-week Summer Rotational Intern program as they head back to school! 📚 Our interns had an active summer as they learned about the functions and roles of the Underwriting, Claims, and Loss Control departments. To wrap up the program, they gave a successful and informative presentation on the future of AI in insurance. Thanks to all our interns for their hard work and best of luck as you continue your studies!

Finance and Data Analysis Major at Liberty University | Risk Management and Pricing Analyst Intern at USClaims
It has been one month since I started my internship with USClaims and it has been rewarding to say the least and let me tell you why. Here are a few of the things that I have learned how to do since since my first day: 1. Pricing: I have been trained in how to review and approve deals that individuals all over the country rely on for their litigation funding needs. 2. Collections: Due to the exemplary training from and knowledge of my supervisor Roxanna Morran, I have been given the responsibility of posting the collections every day and have begun training on weekly write-off reports. 3. Risk Management: I have also created multiple finance, servicing, and risk management reports with the help of Market President Daniel Tallet, CEO Steve Bashmakov, and Servicing Manager Daniel Robbins. So far, my key takeaways from my time here have been as follows: 1. Surrounding yourself with hard-working driven people forces you to elevate your level of work and work ethic. 2. No matter how much you think you know, there’s always someone who knows more than you. In essence, there is always room to grow. Thank you to everyone who has helped me this far and I’m excited to see what the next month and a half has to offer.

This development session equipped us with tools and tips to achieve financial greatness. One quote from the session that resonated with me was, "It's not about money being the significant financial force; it's about living to your values." Below are the 8 Pillars of Financial Greatness 💡

A big thank you to the TIAA summer interns I met with yesterday (thanks to Geoffrey C. of our Early Talent Team for facilitating). This dynamic group of interns brought great energy and came prepared with insightful questions about TIAA’s Wealth Management business, career progression in a corporate environment, and work-life balance. I offered a few tips to help them get the most out of their internship – learn new skills, grow existing ones, and connect with as many people as possible to expand their network. One of my favorite parts of the discussion was when we talked about the importance of personal brand. A key question to consider when reflecting on your brand is, “what do people say about me when I am not in the room?” Each person and the skills and qualities they possess are an individual’s brand. Take a moment to think about how you are showing up and post in the comments - what is one thing you want others to say about you? #TIAA #TIAAWealthManagement #internship #intern #careers
