Great to be back again serving as emcee at the 17th Annual Hearts of Texas Luncheon, honoring Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Randy Bowman, Community Partners of Dallas and the Lewisville ISD. Volunteerism transforms lives! Thanks to Volunteer Now CEO, Rachel Currie Triska, for inspiring her incredible team. Americans gave 4.1 billion hours of service to humanity as volunteers last year. There's nothing more impactful than making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. As I share in my keynote address: "Live your life as a go-getter, yet, forever share your life as a go-giver."

Had the pleasure of attending Ohio Society of Association Professionals Annual Conference in Cinncinati and really enjoyed the networking, sessions and conversations. Thank you Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) for making this possible. My key takeaways include: - find ways to make your team feel valued at work and incorporate play as a primary research tool - Geoff McLachlan - understanding the challenges of hybrid and remote work models allows the whole team to discover ways to problem solve, and cultivate a healthy work environment by encouraging ways to build psychological safety and resilience. - don’t be afraid to question the status quo - a willingness to tell your story doesn’t have to be selfish or narcissistic and you can have a great and powerful impact by relating to others through story telling - meeting new people is fun, don’t forget that! #professionaldevelopment #remote #work #attendee #osap

Who else has been loving the 2024 Euros so far? As I watched Georgia celebrate their well-deserved if unexpected win the other day against Portugal, I couldn’t help but draw parallels to what makes teams in the workplace equally successful. Here’s what we can learn from this monumental win: ✅ Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Georgia’s players showed us that when individuals unite with a common goal, extraordinary things happen. In the workplace, creating a collaborative environment where every member feels valued and empowered can lead to incredible results. ✅ Training and Development: Behind every victorious team are countless hours of training. Investing in employee development ensures that everyone has the skills and knowledge they need to excel, much like footballers preparing for the biggest games of their lives. ✅ Resilience and Determination: I don’t think anyone genuinely expected Georgia to win, even against Portugal’s seconds, but their resilience brought them through. Encouraging a culture that celebrates persistence and learning from setbacks can transform obstacles into opportunities for growth. ✅ Celebrating Wins: The euphoria of Georgia’s win is a reminder of the importance of celebrating achievements. Recognizing and rewarding employees for their hard work boosts morale and fosters a positive, motivated workplace. I can’t wait to see what happens in the Euros over the next few days as Georgia take on Spain, but also as England and my Chelsea boys Cole Palmer and Connor Gallagher are up against Slovakia.
