This is where we can start drawing meaning out of "freedom and encouragement" in the early teens or pre teens. Certain areas of our cognitive brain undergo massive changes through these years wherein if we are encouraged in the direction we are interested in, the creative calibre massively shoots. However, if not catered to properly or nurtured, it can begin to rot or become undermined. In our society, we come across thousands of examples wherein kids steer in the opposite direction from their parents and the resulting clashes lead to tense/unproductive parent-child equations. What parents fail to recognize here is that their need to see a part of themselves in their child is the exact glitch in the thought process. 🌟 Exciting Internship Experience at Ross 🌟 I am thrilled to share that I have completed 4 weeks of my internship at Ross, and it's been an incredibly rewarding journey so far. This past week, I was tasked with organizing men's clothes from the fitting room and ensuring they were promptly returned to the sales floor. It was a fantastic opportunity to dive into the operational side of fashion retail and understand the importance of maintaining a well-organized and appealing sales environment. 🛍️👔 As I continue my internship, I am setting some key goals for myself in the field of fashion merchandising: 1. Learn how to create eye-catching displays that attract customers and boost sales. 2. Gain insights into managing inventory effectively to ensure the right products are available at the right time. 3. Improve my ability to assist customers and understand their preferences, contributing to a better shopping experience. Looking ahead, there are several areas I am eager to improve and learn more about during my time at Ross: - Develop a key eye for spotting fashion trends and understanding how to incorporate them into our product offerings. -Learn to analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product placement and promotions. - Enhance my teamwork skills by working closely with colleagues to achieve our store's goals.

Ever since my first tryst with Retail via a B-School summer internship with a global sportswear giant back in 2017, the very thing that has fascinated me about Retail is the golden opportunity to interact with customers at a personal level, something that’s invaluable as a Marketing professional, and arguably, which online surveys or listening sessions could seldom match. I had the opportunity of spending 5 days at H&M’s bustling Connaught Place store in New Delhi, learning about several functions that go into the making of an anchor store, visual merchandising, product lines, fashion trends, and precious consumer behaviour insights. ✨ A New Chapter in My Career! ✨ This week, I started my internship at L'Oréal, with the La Roche Posay brand, and from day one, I realized this place is a dream come true. The office in Levallois is breathtaking: elegant like a luxury hotel, with a spacious coffee shop on the terrace, a restaurant offering a diverse menu, and a gym on a docked boat. Every morning here starts with inspiration. ☕️🍽️⚓️ I never thought such a work environment could exist! The workspace is meticulously designed: numerous meeting rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and, of course, cosmetics everywhere. My colleagues are constantly buzzing around, testing, creating, and presenting—this place is alive with activity. 🖥️💡 I am particularly impressed by my team. Each member is incredibly creative, and their ideas flow like a fountain. I can feel my own brain working faster, eager to come up with a groundbreaking idea; it feels like any moment now, I might invent a product that changes the world. I feel a great responsibility and am ready to put in all my efforts to live up to the trust placed in me. I know there’s so much I don’t know, and there will be many trials and errors, learning experiences, and projects that initially seem impossible.
