Our acclaimed Airlaid hand towels are set to become greener thanks to a new substrate which will cut the amount of packaging they need. The new material is made via a novel manufacturing process that means it sits outside the Single-use Plastics (SUP) directive scope, which was introduced in the European Union in the past couple of years. It uses an EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) binder for the fibres, which is 100% plastic-free, and so not considered as a “single-use plastic”. We will be phasing this in over the coming weeks, with a view to starting 2025 with the all-new material!
