Not just science, but! We always try to memorize science, math, religion practices, culture, social norms, and almost everything blindly, but we never understand it carefully without any judgement and imagine decoding it. Not memorizing, but understanding and thinking are the actual parts of intelligence. The thing is about knowing, understanding, and creating something new, not just memorizing, learning, and following. We are not bio robots!

'An ability to predict failures within complex systems'. Did you know that Physics-Informed AI is a progressive science incorporating chemistry, biology, and physics? It is very applicable for the water sector challenges where there is poor quality and unstructured data, and rare failure events that render traditional AI solutions ineffective. The mathematical framework builds on and adds value to existing data science projects. This patented technology has the weight of scientific evidence to resolve challenges within net-zero waste treatment plants, validating regulatory strategies, extending asset lifecycles, predicting risk affecting customer experiences, and optimising workflows. Our executive team now includes international expertise; a water sector veteran with 30 years' expertise, an award-winning physicist academically cited over 100,000 times, and a global thought leader who contributes to the international AI standards committee. Data initiatives that positively impact the lives of millions of people around the world. DM James Worsfold for a confidential discussion. A must-read book for our tech-infused times. Mustafa Suleyman has written a tour de force about the coming wave of technology. A wave is how a general-purpose technology disseminates broadly across many aspects of how we live, work, and play. Think language, agriculture, the steam engine, and electricity. The upcoming wave comprises a cluster of technologies including AI, robotics, quantum computing, nanomanufacturing, and synthetic biology, each affecting the other, and collectively transforming human society. What is unique about this wave are its four features of asymmetry, hyper-evolution, omni-use, and autonomy. In turn, this raises a sharp dilemma. This wave is likely to bring about significant positive impact to our quality of life, including new medicines, addressing climate change, improving crop yield, and unleashing abundant clean energy. However, it also brings about unprecedented harms and dangers, including catastrophic outcomes for our safety, the loss of our liberties, and even undermining our sense of self. The author’s diagnosis is the need for the containment of technology, comprising a set of interlinked and mutually reinforcing technical, cultural, legal, and political mechanisms for maintaining social control of technology. This requires nothing short of a whole-of-humanity effort to look at the risks and dangers of technology squarely in the eye, and to come up with the controls, changes in incentives, and even a different vocabulary, mindset and culture towards technology, that measure up to the scale and severity of the challenge before us. This is an important, hardheaded and sobering book by one of the foremost AI experts of our times. Even if we don’t fully agree with what he has said, the book is definitely thought-provoking and overturns many assumptions we may have about technology. And, most crucially, it challenges each and every one of us to do our part to create, contribute to, or campaign for, technology not as an end, but as a means to serving the needs and interest of our common humanity. #AI #AIregulation #publicpolicy #trustandsafety

Suleyman's accessible writing style makes complex concepts understandable, offering a glimpse into the future without overwhelming technical jargon. As policymakers, there's much to ponder upon from Suleyman's perspectives, especially his list of strategies to mitigate potential threats. However, it's essential to remember that AI is a rapidly evolving field, with vast uncharted territories. While this book presents one viewpoint, staying open-minded to diverse perspectives is crucial in navigating the complexities of our technological future.
