𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 x 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢. 11/11 is 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘺 in Japan, a day dedicated to recognizing and supporting caregiving, especially as we face an aging population. Megumi and I attended 𝘕𝘦𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘰, an event hosted by Wie-san of aba Inc., where we connected with like-minded startups and heard from those on the front lines of care. One particularly moving story shared with us was, from a woman whose father had leukemia; she was unable to spend time with him in person during his final days due to his compromised immune system. I wonder how many families face these heartbreaking separations under similar circumstances. Healthcare seems like a challenging industry for us to enter, but I believe we can enable patients to safely connect with their loved ones.
