People often ask me how to generate more income with less risk. 🤔 Here is one example: I had the pleasure of sitting down with CEO of Pender Capital, Cory Johnson at Morton Wealth's 2023 Investor Symposium to discuss generating income by lending on real estate. 🏘 By lending to real estate professionals at high rates for short periods of time, investors can generate passive income to enhance their lifestyle and grow their wealth. And if something goes wrong with the loan, the real estate is there as a safety net. As long as the loan is in first position and a reasonable size compared to the value of the real estate, it can be sold and the loan can be paid off if the borrower defaults. This is how they are able to generate more income with less risk. In the full interview, we also discussed how Pender navigated the pandemic and found resilience in multifamily and industrial real estate. Cory also talked about how the focus on principle preservation above all and how they set themselves apart by focusing on underwriting for refinancing rather than selling. Morton Wealth has interviewed dozens of private lenders like Pender, and has only selected a few partners that we believe align well with our clients.
