With Toolkit3D’s Scan-to-Fit Design Engine, customers are developing products built to fit the patient from their precise measurements, providing the most accurate fit and the highest level of comfort. Berretta Medical Inc was able to go from the patient's scan to a fully-custom knee brace design in under 30 minutes, enabling their team of five to make more than 2000 braces a year– all made possible with HP 3D Printing ’s Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology. Stop by the HP Booth #2839 at RAPID + TCT and see the braces for yourself. #RapidTCT #3DPrinting

Additive manufacturing of #tibial implants in Metal brings numerous benefits, from personalized solutions and complex designs to improved functionality and cost efficiency. This technology is rapidly advancing the field of orthopedic surgery by providing better patient outcomes and more efficient production methods. Common Metals Used in 3D-Printed Tibial Implants #Titanium (Ti6Al4V): Known for its biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, and strength, making it ideal for implants that need to integrate with bone. #CobaltChromium Alloys (CoCrMo): Offers high strength, wear resistance, and biocompatibility, which is crucial for load-bearing implants like the tibial tray. #Stainless Steel (316L): Occasionally used for implants but less common than titanium and cobalt-chromium alloys due to its lower biocompatibility and wear resistance. "Innovation isn't just about embracing new technology; it's about reimagining possibilities. By pioneering the use of additive manufacturing for metal implants, we are transforming patient care, creating personalized solutions, and redefining the future of orthopedic medicine." 3D Systems Corporation
3D Systems’ Jeph Ruppert and Julie Thatcher (DeBus) discuss the development of a titanium tibial tray featuring integrated lattice structures to enhance osseointegration, along with a cobalt chrome femoral component designed for durable articulation in the joint space. Produced with our DMP Flex 350 3D printer, this technology enables the creation of large joint implants with double the production speed, all while maintaining exceptional quality and reproducibility. Discover more about #healthcare applications through direct metal printing in our application brief, 'Achieve 2X Faster AM Production Speeds, Even for Large Joint Applications': https://lnkd.in/gpHhtMRm

What's the height limit for printing AFOs in HP MJF? Choosing the appropriate height for orthoses (AFO) is crucial in additive manufacturing, as build height is a limiting factor for larger AFOs. Pediatric AFOs and articulated designs are particularly suitable for HP MJF. While taller AFOs could be designed in two parts and assembled with resin, it may increase manufacturing time and potentially compromise strength. What's your experience with this? #yourcadcampartner #orthotics #oandp #additivemanufacturing #3dprinting
