I must admit, that discussing creative endeavors outside my expertise is something I find extremely uncomfortable with doing. Consequently, I'm continuously experimenting with the creative concepts that pop into this brain of mine. One idea that emerged long ago was how can you narrate a story through an interactive experience bridging the physical and digital realms. With this in mind, I've devoted years to developing various projects to validate my theoretical musings. These have involved integrating social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and even email with a range of output mediums, including video, virtual reality, augmented reality, and apps, as well as tangible items such as books, posters, puzzles, murals, and board games. Considering these components, I strive to lead the user on an inventively designed journey that surpasses their expectations—and to do so affordably. My latest venture is the "Deck of the Dead" board game experience, which immerses us in the Underworld and propels us towards a novel concept of the genesis of creative storytelling and its intrinsic power. With that intention, I've begun to initiate the video/Facebook stage of play testing with approximately ten volunteers. Today, we commenced round two, and I thought it would be nice to share the video the playtesters are working with. I welcome all questions and any of your feedback is appreciated. I plan to continue posting these updates weekly because... well, why not?

I'm incredibly humbled and excited to share that this single image has reached a MILLION views in just 2 days on my TikTok! This image seems to have resonated deeply with many, portraying Noah in a unique way that sparked conversations in the comments section. This fresh take on the famous story of Noah captured a lot of attention and curiosity. For anyone thinking this might be just a fake film poster, a quick look at my profile will show it's all real. The Process: This image is AI-generated, combining two separate AI-generated images in Photoshop. I realized that having Noah's Ark and the giant in the same prompt wouldn't yield the best results. So, I prompted them separately and stitched them together in Photoshop to create this compelling composite. Initially, I wanted to create a film poster for Noah's chapter in my 'Return Of King' series, but none of the images I prompted were intriguing enough. Last weekend, I thought a split shot would be perfect to show Noah's Ark and the giant drowning in the same image. And it worked! What’s my skill set? People just see the animations and videos I make. They discount the organization and management skills that are needed to make a video. We have to come up with a subject. Then an action we want the viewer to take. This means writing a script. If you need Ai to help you write - then use it. Then you need a storyboard. And an idea of what graphics to support your words. Hey, a talking head is acceptable, but know that people get bored fast! Try to at least cut to another angle every now and then. Finally filming day. Do you have location, camera, lighting and sound equipment? Do you know how to use this equipment? Ok, you filmed it. Now the real work begins. Editing and cleaning up the visuals! What parts can be trimmed? Do we need reshoots or voice overs to emphasize important messages? After the edit is approved, then the music and sound effects. Overkill you say? Well, yea if you are aiming for mediocrity. Which honestly, most people are OK with. Because that’s all they see on social media. They judge a 15 year old’s teen Tik Tok video and think hey, that’s for my business! But think about this. This video might be the first time people will have an image of you, your business and your services. And if you can’t put your best foot forward when all the variables are directly in your control - then honestly why should they care. Then just viral Instagram your company away. Here is another video I made for my company. I don’t put my own face forward because honestly, people who don’t know me judge me on my face, afro and all. Hey it happens. there are many things that can go wrong with traditional storytelling: * characters can be underdeveloped * the story can be predictable * we can screw the pacing * tone might be all over the place * meh conflict * poor dialog ... just to name a few. but in games, oh my. before games, you controlled pretty much everything. in games, you don't. in a book (or movie or tv show) the reader can either keep reading, or stop. that's it. that's as far as their agency can go. well, that was true until choose your own adventure showed up, but still 99.99999...% of books are not CYOA. when we write for video games, interactivity opens up a vast array of possibilities, but also a thousand potential problems. the biggest issue is that the rules change. not all of them, but enough so that an experienced writer may have to start almost from scratch. therefore, it's advisable to start small, beginning with what's familiar. there's no need to start with a dynamic narrative roguelike RPG with reputation systems and randomly-generated NPCs based on modular archetypes. it sounds like a great challenge. but it scares me just thinking about it. don't run into the woods. why not start with a linear narrative? use all the techniques we already know and feel them in video game form? have you heard of walking simulators? They're just that, with one or two twists. Yet... ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm not saying you should show it to anyone if you're not ready. though it's bad advice, if it helps you get started, it's all good. I'm suggesting that you write and feel it. just like you did with your novels or short stories without even realizing it. there's time to gradually give the player the agency they deserve. there's time to get more complex and work around the pitfalls, one by one. and remember King Stephen's words...
