Indigo’s Jabalpur-Hyderabad Flight Diverted Due to Bomb Threat On Sunday, Indigo Flight 6E 7308, operating from Jabalpur to Hyderabad, was diverted to Nagpur following a bomb threat. Upon landing, all passengers were disembarked, and mandatory security checks were promptly initiated, according to Indigo. The threat was later found to be a hoax, but it highlights a troubling trend. Rising Hoax Bomb Threats: June 18th: 41 airports across India, including Jaipur, Chennai, and Varanasi, received bomb threats via email, leading to extensive anti-sabotage checks. All threats were later confirmed as hoaxes. August 22nd: A full emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram Airport following a bomb threat on an Air India flight from Mumbai. The aircraft was safely evacuated, and the threat was later deemed a hoax. June 17th: A 13-year-old boy was detained for sending a false bomb threat to Delhi Airport, causing a high alert at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Mumbai Hospitals: Around 60 hospitals across Mumbai received hoax bomb threats via email. Mumbai police reported that these emails were sent using VPNs to the hospitals' public mail IDs. Impact of Hoax Threats: Hoax bomb threats cause significant disruptions to flight schedules and require thorough inspections of passengers, luggage, and aircraft. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has proposed a five-year flying ban for those found guilty of such acts to deter these disruptive and dangerous pranks. As these incidents become more frequent, it’s crucial for authorities and the public to remain vigilant and for stringent measures to be enforced against those responsible. #IndigoFlight #BombThreat #AviationSafety #SecurityAlert #HoaxThreats #CivilAviation #PassengerSafety #IndiaAirports #BCAS #PublicSafety #calgroups #calsaig #knowledgeark #riskalerts #beep Embark on a journey into the future with www.KnowledgeArk.AI, your portal to Bespoke Data Science, AI, OSINT, and HUMINT-powered Fusion for Enterprise Risk Intelligence. In May 2024, India experienced a surge in bomb threats across various locations, including airports, hotels, schools, and government buildings. Notable incidents included threats at Mumbai’s Taj Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, where a thorough search revealed no bombs. Similarly, Delhi’s North Block, several colleges, and a McDonald's in Mumbai received threats, all of which were investigated and deemed hoaxes. These events highlight growing concern and disruptions caused by such threats. The wave of threats affected numerous other locations, such as Chennai Airport, several hospitals in Delhi and Bengaluru, and numerous schools in Kanpur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Delhi-NCR. For instance, 150 schools in Delhi-NCR faced bomb threats, prompting mass evacuations and heightened security. Most threats were found to be hoaxes, yet they caused significant panic and operational disruptions. The Delhi-Vadodara Air India flight also faced a scare when a bomb threat was found on a tissue paper, leading to a thorough search before the flight could proceed safely. This alarming trend underscores the critical importance of proactive security strategies and robust response protocols in mitigating the impact of such threats. Security industry must prioritize enhancing threat detection capabilities, improving communication channels, and ensuring rapid, coordinated responses to prevent public panic and maintain safety. The rise in threats necessitates a collaborative approach to bolster security infrastructure and public confidence amidst growing uncertainty. #calgroups #calsaig #knowledgeark #security #bombthreat #threat #trend #india #securityinfrastructure #disruption #hoax #evacuation #bombscare #unrest Embark on a journey into the future with www.KnowledgeArk.AI, your portal to Bespoke Data Science, AI, OSINT, and HUMINT-powered Fusion for Enterprise Risk Intelligence.
