Southeast Asian flavors are taking center stage this summer, and we are here for it! Emily Joy Meneses for Barista Magazine breaks down the rise of flavors like buko (coconut), dragon fruit and mung bean on drink shop menus this year.
One such example is Kansas City's first Vietnamese coffee shop, Cafe Ca Phe. Cafe Cà Phê's owner, Jackie Nguyen, "cites her identity as a Vietnamese American as one of the main inspirations for of her menu", and partnered with Torani for the launch of Dragon Fruit Syrup on March 1st. This collaboration was valuable for Torani, ensuring the syrup's flavor was authentic and worked well for Cafe Cà Phê.
Torani Dragon Fruit Syrup is used in the shop's "Cute Moment" drink, a refreshing blend with mango and lemonade.
