😬I As Lando Norris once said on Drive to Survive: Chaos? chaos. 🇩🇪I Such was the nature of the Berlin E Prix today, with overtakes, action, and plenty of debris scattered around. 🇳🇿 I Amidst this, one Kiwi made his way from 21st on lap 21, to win the race by nearly five seconds, an incredible comeback drive. I've covered all this in my latest race report, and you can read it here https://lnkd.in/g-BG6GvD

When analysing the 2nd practice times for Emilia Romagna F1 Grand Prix it can be seen that different cars/ drivers are the best by each sector of the Imola track. What means a sector? Each racing track is splitted in 3 sectors, which are different one to another in terms of chicanes, corners or straights- so different requirements. What the drivers and teams needs to find is the right setup to have the shortest time, meaning prioritising a sector or 2/ not being the fastest in one of the sectors, but on overall. Because what it matters in this case? The end result, the shortest time wins pole position! When speaking about processes in companies and how the customers requests are being solved, how often the performance that counts for the customer (time by lap) is not measured or the process is not optimized with the end result in mind? How often if we optimize, the “sector times” (silos) are prioritized (team/ department results) and the sight is being lost- time by lap. Like in F1, when we analyze the performance expected by business or customers, we might need to suboptimize some “sectors” of the process in order to obtain needed or best performance. @image credits Fdataanalysis #F1 #processimprovement #leansixsigma #silos #continuousimprovement #advancedorganisationalconsulting

🏁 Revving up the Engines: IMS vs. Formula 1 Trademark Showdown 🏁 Indianapolis Motor Speedway revs into action, reigniting a trademark dispute with Formula 1 and its associates. Vowing to safeguard its intellectual property by any means necessary, IMS braces for a legal showdown. 🍖 The bone of contention? None other than the iconic phrase 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,' etched into the DNA of the Indianapolis 500 since its trademarking by former IMS owner Hulman and Company in 1986. 🖼️ Picture this: You're part of IMS's IT team, and you stumble upon a surprising revelation – since the inception of the internet, not a single top-level domain has been registered for your organization's iconic phrase. https://lnkd.in/efuE98jW https://lnkd.in/eXuRQQvr Let’s leave Germany’s former chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel sum this up: “The Internet is new territory for all of us” – June 2013 🏎️💥 #IMSvsF1 #TrademarkDispute #BrandIdentity #formula1 #indy500

The start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the Circuit de la Sarthe is just around the corner, where the official team Hypercars will compete for the ultimate victory. Almost all the Hypercars at the start can rely on Brembo or Ap Racing braking systems that combine performance close to that of F1 but are capable of lasting more than 24 hours. This infographic summarizes their main characteristics.

1. Every racing team undoubtedly sets a goal - a time they want to finish within, a time they’re targeting which defines success or failure. Completion time is a goal. 2. Every racing team member commits to and holds each other accountable to speed. To completing their leg of the race in the shortest amount of time possible. Speed is the commitment. 3. Racing teams discuss and negotiate strategies to meet their goals. Negotiate strategies, not time. 4. The rules of the race are like the quality standards. Standards, which set boundaries and requirements everyone must adhere to. 5. Think like a racing team and go run your race! Follow for more content like this.
