Your co-workers have a lot to juggle—offboarding tasks usually aren’t their top priority. But for IT, getting those costly apps deprovisioned is critical. That's where our new Slack integration steps in. With task delegation via Slack, you can send app owners a clear to-do list to the tool they use the most. No more chasing down tasks via email—owners get a simple message outlining what needs to be done. They can track their progress and mark tasks completed in real-time, all from one live task list. And IT? You get complete visibility into the offboarding workflow. You’ll know exactly what's been done and what’s still outstanding. No more gaps, no more delays—just clear, accountable communication. It’s all about meeting app owners where they are, keeping offboarding smooth, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. IT stays in control, and offboarding finally gets the attention it deserves. Learn more about this feature 👉 https://okt.to/ONYC1L

We often hear a lot about onboarding, but what about the other side of it - offboarding? Let's Talk About User Offboarding! It might not get as much attention, but it's just as important. How we gracefully guide users out of our product or service can really shape how they feel about us down the line. Understanding why users leave can give us some valuable insights into how to keep them happy, coming back, and even spreading the word. Here's a quick peek into why it's worth paying attention to: 1️⃣ Avoiding Loss: People hate losing stuff more than they like gaining things. When users decide to bail, they're seeing it as a loss. If we can make the offboarding process smoother, we might just leave them feeling okay about the whole thing, maybe even good about our brand. 2️⃣ Emotions Matter: Users put time, effort, and sometimes cash into our stuff. Recognizing how they feel when they leave can go a long way in keeping things positive and avoiding any bad vibes. 3️⃣ Keep Talking: When someone's leaving, it's important to keep the lines of communication open. Letting them know what's happening, why they're leaving, and what else they could try can keep things transparent and maintain trust, even on their way out the door. So, understanding user offboarding isn't just about closing accounts; it's about keeping relationships healthy, calming loss aversion, and protecting our brand's rep. How does your team handle user offboarding? Let's chat! #UserExperience #Offboarding #LossAversion #EmotionalImpact #Communication #UXDesign #CustomerRetention

🧑💻 Old-style onboarding isn't working anymore. The hard truth is that: - No one will watch your welcome video. - No one cares about the onboarding slider. - No one wants to figure out how to use your service. Instead, a user will leave with no words. Here are 7 new tips for mastering user onboarding in 2024. 1) Collect only crucial information and nothing extra or nice to have. 2) Show the progress of the onboarding process. 3) Personalise the initial setup by asking who is the customer. As an example, Asana offers different workspace templates to developers and a marketer. Makes sense. 4) Use the onboarding widget aka todo list where a user sees progress and what's coming next. 5) Provide interactive (!) interface tours. 6) Use contextual tooltips that show specific interface areas. 7) Encourage users to take an action - point to the next step. I can read your mind now as you're thinking "These are hard to implement, we don't have the capacity for it"... Actually, some integrations and apps do it with an easy no-code setup. Just search for "onboarding tooltips" and you will see a ton. PS. We review apps and services for our followers and prospects every day for free. I can do it for you too. Comment as an interest.

Ever wonder why your onboarding process isn't working? We did. And we fixed it. Our onboarding completion rate escalated from 30% to 96.8%. How? By eliminating unnecessary steps. Let me explain. Imagine you're new to a platform. You're excited but overwhelmed. Then you're asked to upload a brand logo. You don't have it on hand. So you pause. You think, “I'll get back to this later.” But “later” often turns into never. Sound familiar? Here's what we did instead: → We stripped down the initial onboarding. → We only asked for what's essential. → We moved noncritical tasks to later stages. For example: → Instead of asking for a brand logo upfront, → We asked for it after the user experienced some value. This simple tweak made a massive difference. Our users were no longer blocked. They could dive in and see the value right away. And once they saw the value? They were more willing to complete the remaining steps. It's a small change with a big impact. So, if you're struggling with onboarding, ask yourself: Are you asking too much, too soon? Simplify the process. Remove the friction. And watch your completion rates soar.
