🎉 Success at the Bunnings BBQ! 🎉 We’re excited to share that the Mentone Soccer Club’s recent fundraising BBQ at Bunnings was a tremendous success! With the support of our incredible community and dedicated volunteers, we surpassed our fundraising goal for our club. 🙌 This event offered us valuable insights into both business and soccer, highlighting how lessons on and off the field intertwine: Community Engagement is Like Team Spirit: Just as in soccer, where a united team can achieve great results, engaging with our community boosted our event’s success. Our partnership with Bunnings and the support of local residents proved how vital a strong network is. 🤝⚽ Effective Teamwork Drives Success: Much like on the pitch, where coordination and communication are key, our volunteers worked seamlessly together to make the event run smoothly. Clear roles and collaboration ensured we stayed on track, demonstrating the power of teamwork. 👥🔄 Adaptability is a Winning Strategy: In soccer, being able to adjust strategies in the face of unexpected challenges can turn the game. Similarly, our ability to adapt during the event ensured we overcame obstacles and maintained our positive momentum. 💪⚽ Customer Experience is Like Fan Engagement: Providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for our supporters is akin to keeping fans engaged during a match. Our approach to making the BBQ enjoyable for everyone contributed to our success and will help in future events. 🌟🍔 A huge thank you to Bunnings for their support and to everyone who came out to enjoy a sausage sizzle. Your contributions will help us enhance our facilities and provide even better opportunities for our players. 🙏🏆 Here’s to applying these lessons both on the field and in our community efforts! ⚽💼 #MentoneSoccerClub #CommunitySupport #FundraisingSuccess #BunningsBBQ #SoccerLessons #Teamwork #Adaptability

I’ve always believed football isn’t just about elite competition, performance, and rankings. Sport is about so much more than that. It’s also about creating opportunities for sectors that might not otherwise engage with it. That's why I was thrilled to hear about The Street Child World Cup 2026. It's a global event where teams of young people who've experienced homelessness or street living come together to play football. The purpose of this event is threefold: → Raise awareness about the challenges faced by children living and working on the streets. → Provide a platform for these children to share their stories. → Call for change and demand that their rights be protected. Remember: Football holds potential beyond winning and losing. It can make a positive difference in the lives of children and communities worldwide, creating opportunities for those who suffer from health issues, disabilities, and inequalities. So, thank you, Street Child United, for organizing this global event.

Raring 2go! is a powerful brand for advertisers looking to target UK families with primary school children with a combined Print & Digital campaign. Combining Print & Digital Ads together make a Digital campaign 400% more effective! (Source* Top Media Advertising) Raring 2go! magazine is uniquely distributed at home time into Children's Book Bags via Primary Schools and offers hyper local editions by City or Town rather than just by region. It also targets 1.2m readers in a mid market adult 25-55 audience with a printed publication circulation of 400,000 every quarter. Print is still one of the most trusted forms of media only behind TV and while most businesses spend their full budget on digital advertising fighting for a millisecond of attention from 25-55 year olds - the average magazine reader is spending around 20minutes with the product in their hand! I am absolutely buzzing that the #Guildford edition of Raring2go! Magazine has been shortlisted in one of 18 categories in the ACE - Association of Circulation Executives Newspaper and Magazine awards 2024. Massive congratulations to the brilliant Gemma Heavens (Campbell) for creating an incredible regional title that has been deemed worthy of inclusion in these prestigious industry awards. Raring2go! Guildford is shortlisted in the Regional Publication of the Year – Sponsored by News Team Group…. a category with stiff competition. But please join me in congratulating Gemma for the seriously impressive achievement to date. #justbrilliant The awards ceremony takes place in May but I think Gemma is already a winner 👏👏👏 I can’t tell you how excited and proud I am.
