In this #review published by the prestigious Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM) MDPI, we cohoperated with the expert team of #neurologists, #psychiatrists, and #psychologists working at the Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri, Institute of Telese Terme, in order to summarize the most recent evidence about #COPD and #psychiatric #disorders. I hope that this contribution will be of help for our colleagues for their #clinical #practice and #research. Finally, I must say that I have really enjoyed working in such a multidisciplinary context, and I look forward to more and more collaborations within this research line. Yesterday, I was delighted to receive an email inviting me to speak at a prestigious Neuropsychiatric conference. I have always maintained that Understanding the Neuropsychiatric Aspects of Human Inclinations—holds profound potential for addressing most pressing challenges in our rapidly evolving world. Despite its critical importance, this area remains relatively underexplored, yet it offers remarkable insights into the intricate web of human behavior. By examining the neuropsychiatric mechanisms underlying our actions, preferences, and vulnerabilities, we can unlock new pathways for behavioral development, strategic planning, and a comprehensive approach to disease prevention—not only for physical conditions but also for mental and social well-being as seen in my research article titled "Neuroscientific approaches to understanding adolescent susceptibility to substance abuse". In an era marked by technological innovation and growing intelligence, it is essential to expand our perspectives beyond established epistemological boundaries. We must delve deeper into the neuropsychiatric foundations that shape human tendencies, understanding why we make certain choices and how we can mitigate susceptibility to harmful behaviors. This exploration is crucial for fostering resilience, promoting healthier life trajectories, and creating sustainable solutions for the future. The opportunity to contribute to this conversation is both humbling and exciting. It underscores the importance of collective action in building a better, safer, and more sustainable world—one where genetics, social exposure and scientific knowledge, work hand in hand to guide informed, compassionate decision-making. #clinicalresearch #publichealth #behaviouralmedicine #neuropsychiatory #internationaljournalofneuropsychiatry

After so many years in pharma and healthcare, we, at Tendance Research Insight realise that recruiting healthcare professionals (HCPs) and KOLs for surveys or qualitative discussions, can be challenging due to several factors like their interest or skeptism, time constraints, access and reach, compensation issues, data privacy issues and not the least, burnouts due to their overloaded clinical practice and expectations. Addressing these challenges often requires strategic planning, robust sampling techniques, and effective outreach efforts which our team does very efficiently and can recruit from our in-house database or match with client provided lists. So, in a nutshell, targeting the right audience through strategic segmentation, leveraging both online and offline channels for outreach is paramount. Building trust is crucial; thus, establishing clear communication about the survey's purpose, confidentiality, and benefits can enhance participation rates. Incentives should be thoughtfully considered to motivate HCPs and KOLs while ensuring ethical compliance. Additionally, utilizing user-friendly survey tools and maintaining a streamlined process can improve response quality and reduce dropout rates. Regularly analyzing feedback and refining recruitment strategies will help optimize future efforts. Please feel free to reach out at ekta.dhawan@tendanceresearch.com for any new request or challenging study in this space and we will be happy to assist! These are LIFESAVING medicines we’re talking about when we’re talking about #psychedelicmedicine . And it’s not just coming from some of the most renowned names and doctors, but as well as longstanding and respected academic institutions. And that’s how we should be looking at these medicines, with not just curiosity but with hope for their potentiality for healing trauma, psychiatric disorders, and traumatic brain injuries/acquired brain injuries that have so long been an enigma to the medical community. As Stanislav Grof, American Psychiatrist who developed transpersonal psychology said, “Psychedelics used responsibly and with proper caution would be for psychiatry what the microscope is for biology and medicine or the telescope is for astronomy.” I’m an integrative psychiatrist that offers support with these medicines given the overwhelming scientific evidence that gives us HOPE that there is a better way to treat psychiatric challenges, traumatic brain injuries, and even chronic traumatic encephalopathy. I am taking on new clients (on a limited basis) so please do reach out if you’re interested in booking a consultation. Listen to the full podcast on Boundless Body Podcast 🔉 https://lnkd.in/ggx8CX3k Thank you for being here, for being open to this conversation and following along this journey of integrative medicine with me! Connecting Brain to Heart Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is an autonomic system disorder that results in lightheadedness following a postural change, such as lying to standing, along with a rapid increase in heart rate. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)/concussion, COVID-19 can lead to POTS. Inflammation in the brain (neuroinflammation) could be the underlying trigger for this condition. Symptoms include elevated heart rate/tachycardia, shortness of breath, anxiety, brain fatigue, etc. Since the signal was coming from the brain, we decided to use TMS to modulate the specific spot in the brain. We found improvement in the brain (brain fatigue, anxiety) and heart measures (heart rate variability). We are the first to use this approach to address POTS.
