Flooding is a serious issue with climate volatility and it is has been getting progressively worse. One indication of that is how flood maps have become less and less useful where 100 year flood levels happen with much greater than expected regularity. Hurricane Debby is just the latest example- leaving many communities deep underwater. At climatility we work to provide our business partners with the best and most up to date forecasts and our customized impact analytics to provide the necessary warning to mitigate damage. #hurricane #debby, #storm, #flood, #flooding, https://lnkd.in/eEr79YmU

Flood/drought. Drought/flood. This whiplash pattern repeats itself increasing. We can look at this as a problem, or as an opportunity to fix both at the same time. Massive statewide groundwater recharge with a #jaltara approach can be a major solution to this whiplash. Improve water tables and stop flooding at the same time. https://lnkd.in/g7ANjbhC

Tropical Storm Helene continues its inland track, bringing severe flooding, damaging winds, and even tornadoes. Heavy rains have led to record-breaking floods, especially in North Carolina, Georgia, and surrounding areas. Rivers like the Pigeon, French Broad, and Swannanoa have reached historic levels, and flash flood emergencies are in effect. Helene made landfall with winds of 140 mph and is now centered 105 miles north of Atlanta, still causing widespread impact. With wind gusts reaching 90 mph in some areas and ongoing flash flooding, it’s crucial to stay informed. Here are some best practices to ensure safety: Stay Indoors: Avoid going outside during the storm unless absolutely necessary. Monitor Alerts: Follow updates from local authorities for real-time information. Evacuation Ready: Keep an emergency kit prepared, and know your evacuation routes. Elevate Belongings: If flooding is expected, move important items to higher ground. Secure Communication: Ensure you have access to reliable sources for updates. In rescue operations, having accurate situational awareness can save lives. Real-time technology plays a key role, especially in monitoring flood-prone areas, helping emergency teams prioritize their efforts. Stay safe and take all precautions seriously #DroneTechnology #SafetyFirst
