It's hard to acknowledge that a computer could take over your job, but that's a healthy concern for anyone in the medical field, where these technologies are being used. An interesting part of the survey is that the more work experience a physician had in the field, the more open they were to new technology. Hospitals are utilizing #AI-powered tools like #Augmedix and #HealthScribe to alleviate administrative activities that lead to clinicians burnout. By relieving clinicians of time-consuming administrative duties, these apps can be utilized for transcribing and documentation after patient visits, enabling them to practice to the fullest extent of their licenses and preventing burnout. Furthermore, Providence Health System used billing information and electronic medical records to create an AI model for staff forecasting based on patient volume and acuity. Doctors are shouldering ever-larger workloads, fueling an ongoing provider shortage and rising burnout rates—and, in turn, leading to subpar patient care. This is where generative AI comes in.
