Vice President of Operations, Transportation $285K Director of Health and Safety, Construction $185K Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing $165K Manager of Sales and Operations, Automotive $245K Vice President of Guest Relations, Hospitality $135K Senior Distribution Manager, Retail $162K What do all these things have in common? First, these are all job offers recent clients of ours accepted. Second, every single one of these people do not possess a Bachelor's Degree. I’ll wait while you clutch your pearls. Yep, somehow these brave souls dared to apply for, and land, six-figure jobs without that oh-so-necessary degree. The nerve that they apply for and win jobs over $100K. Over and over. Tell me again how "degrees equal success. It doesn't. It never will. A good resume is way more than just a piece of paper. It's your Power Move. #SixFigureJobs #NoDegreeNoProblem #ResumeWriting

Have you ever wondered why professionals responsible for overseeing buildings, infrastructure, and services are called Facility Managers? Let's dive into the history and significance behind this title. The term "Facility Manager" emerged in the 1970s and 1980s, as organizations recognized the need for a specialized role to manage their physical assets and support services. Why "Facility Manager" and not something else? 1. Focus on Physical Assets: "Facility" emphasizes the management of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment. 2. Holistic Approach: "Manager" conveys responsibility for integrating various services, such as maintenance, operations, and security. 3. Strategic Role: The title reflects the profession's evolution from tactical to strategic, focusing on aligning facilities with organizational goals. Alternative titles considered and why they didn't stick: 1. Building Superintendent (too operational) 2. Plant Manager (too industrial) 3. Operations Manager (too generic) Today's Facility Managers: 1. Integrate technology, sustainability, and wellness 2. Foster collaborative work environments 3. Optimize space utilization and asset performance 4. Ensure compliance and risk management Share your thoughts: What does being a Facility Manager mean to you? How has the profession evolved in your experience? Let's celebrate the critical work of Facility Managers! #FacilityManagement #FMProfession #Facilities #Operations #Leadership #WorkplaceExperience

I have spent time with four different companies since entering my career, and on this #appreciationwednesday, I am thankful for each every one of them. For each one of them has allowed me to see our industry through a different lens. In that time, I have worked in the commercial, residential, heavy utilities/excavation & asphalt sectors of this industry. I have been an Estimator, Project Manager, Construction Manager & now, General Manager. I have spent many days in the field, attempting to learn the techniques from those who do it best, as well as countless hours surrounded by four walls attempting to manage customer/crew expectations, schedules, submittals, budgets, contracts, etc. I have acted as a subcontractor, as well as a general contractor. I have been a part of projects all across the State of WA and parts of MT. From metropolitan areas, like Seattle, WA, to remote locations, like Wolf Point, MT. I have managed projects ranging from under $5,000 to upwards of $10,000,000. I have been lucky enough to work with some truly great people and have worked through some very tough circumstances with the difficult ones. I have celebrated countless wins with my teams and carried the weight of many losses. The idea of Middleman Mindset may have come to mind after a particular situation, but in reality, the concept behind it all has been building for over a decade, with every position, role, team & company I have had the opportunity to be a part of. .................... It is time to challenge the way it has always been in the blue collar industry. True leadership starts in the middle. .. Change your mindset. Change your outcome. .. The times they are a-changin'. It's been a dry market for senior and executive positions for the past 12 months. That's no secret. I've heard the same story. High-calibre people looking for something new. Redundancies. But nothing available. So I've been building relationships. But times are changing. I've taken on 4 executive and senior management roles across construction and engineering in the past fortnight. And because these clients are moving early, they're getting first access to the best of the best. Thinking about elevating operations? Now's the time. Demand is growing. Don't miss out. #engineeringrecruitment #executiverecruitment #constructionrecruitment #jobcreation

Is your business at a critical stage in its direction and wondering “What’s next, how do we get there, and what does success look like?” It's a big moment. But it's these moments where interim facilities managers earn their wage. What's in it for you? - They will take charge of the day-to-day operations, allowing you to focus on your core business. - You will have a key experienced operator who will drive continuous improvement and set the bar for excellence within the team. - They have earned the battle scars, so you don’t have to. - Their expertise is on tap, overseeing this period of change and offering advice, strategy and guidance throughout. - They will review and manage the budgets, ensuring you hit financial targets, and seek value for money in every transaction. - They will motivate and inspire your facilities team to deliver outstanding performance. This gets your team working better, and faster. - They will have experience and uphold the highest standards in health and safety, managing risks alongside the building. This is your journey and your future. But with me by your side, we can build it your way. Give me a call, and let's talk over your project with a coffee. #facilitiesmanager #facilitiesmanagement
