Temporary Traffic Control Expert | ATSSA Master Instructor | Training & Content Developer | Temporary Traffic Control Curriculum Consultant - Where Book Smart = Street Smart
🚧 Did you know? 🚦 For decades, it's been an industry norm to send uncertified Leads to execute complex Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) on roadways. I should know from experience—I was one of those Leads. Most experienced Leads often learn how to execute TTC "on the fly," without formal training and understanding of TTC compliance and litigation. These crucial tasks are often entrusted to individuals who are expected to simultaneously manage operations and "field train" new hires. At Temporary Traffic Control Expert LLC (TTCE), we're changing this norm for the better. 🌟 Our Mission: 🌟 At TTCE, we are dedicated to revolutionizing the industry by educating Temporary Traffic Control employees on the paramount importance of understanding the Standards and Guidelines outlined in the CAMUTCD. We believe that every individual responsible for roadside safety should have the knowledge and expertise to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. 🚸 Our Goal: 🚸 We aim to strengthen the industry by developing competent and certified Leads. Through rigorous compliance and understanding training, we empower our team with ATSSA Certifications and personalized programs. By equipping Leads with the necessary tools and knowledge, we are not only enhancing safety on our roadways but also setting a new standard for excellence in Temporary Traffic Control. Join us at TTCE as we pave the way for a safer, more informed industry. Let's make the old norms of uncertified Leads a thing of the past. Together, we can ensure that every worker on our roadways is prepared, certified, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety. Contact us at ttcexpert.net to discuss how we could help strengthen and empower your TTC Roster!! #TTCE #TTC #CAMUTCD #ATSSA #IndustryStandards #TrafficControlExpertise #SafetyFirst

Have questions about USDOT/FMCSA compliance as a carrier, whether Canadian or American? The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Motor Carrier Safety Planner (see link below) is a great tool for assessing and managing compliance. I've used it and know many others that have, all with positive impressions. Now, remember, this is a compliance tool. That means it's meant to bring a carrier into compliance with existing laws. Is compliance important? Yes, of course! But is it where a carrier's safety efforts should end? No! If a carrier (or any other company) wants great safety performance, compliance can't be the end goal of a safety program. Compliance is the minimum, and it takes the adoption of best practices to move beyond it. You can contact me through LinkedIn or via email at wss@amta.ca to learn more about everything discussed during this post. While the Alberta Motor Transport Association is a provincial trucking and busing safety association (among other things), we can assist with Canadian federal and USDOT/FMCSA issues, too.
