Anyone who works with me knows that I'm a total #data geek. I love reading the latest #workplace reports and have a real passion for understanding how people are navigating their personal and professional lives. The latest Gallup State of Global Workplace Report 2024 makes for concerning reading, the data shows that “people’s mental wellbeing has been worsening. In the last 10 years, the number of people expressing stress, sadness, anxiety, anger or worry has been on the rise, reaching its highest levels since the Gallup surveys began.” 📢 Gallup estimates that low employee #engagement costs the global economy US$8.9 trillion, or 9% of global GDP. 📢 Globally, employee #wellbeing declined in 2023 from 35% to 34%. 📢 Actively disengaged employees — i.e., workers who actively oppose their employer’s goals — comprise 15% of the global workforce. The data is clear: we need to be rethinking how we do things. The good news is that I'm seeing a number of big players already investing in this.
