Early bird or night owl? For me, mornings are my best. A good cup of coffee, and I'm ready to dive into whatever the day throws at me. It’s like my mind's clearer when the world’s just waking up. But you know what? The cool part about running your own business is that you get to choose what works best for you and your family. If moonlight is where you find the headspace to do your best thinking, that's just as awesome. We've all got those times when we're on fire, and figuring that out is key. When stepping into your own virtual services biz, try mixing up your work hours. See when you're buzzing with ideas and when you're just not. It's all about matching your work vibe with your personal energy peaks. Maybe it’s before your household wakes up, maybe once the kids are off to school, maybe it’s after you’ve put them to bed, whenever you feel it, that is how you structure your day. Hit a slump? Then switch things up – you can chop and change as often as you need to – whether for energy levels, family commitments or just because you need some time. Whether you’re an early riser or a night thinker, there’s no one-size-fits-all here. Crafting a business means you get to fit work into your life exactly how you like it. So, are you a dawn greeter or a midnight thinker? Here’s to making our own rules and loving it! #MorningOrNight #WorkYourWay #WomeninBusiness #FlexibleWorking #Mompreneur #VirtualServices #FearlesslyFlamboyant #WorkLifeIntegration #VirtualBusinessOwner

Monday mornings can be messy. And by that I don't mean our desks. I'm talking about the state of our brains. More specifically, the thoughts running through them! For me, getting back to office after a business tour, often turns out to be quite surreal! Between the self inflicted 10 page 'to do' list, the top urgent and priority tasks pending my return, my team and colleagues I haven't really interacted with while away and that weird sensation of sitting tight in my chair lile a school kid, there's a lot to process for my poor little brain! I must say it does take a little time to realign ourselves and get back in the groove. It's those first few hours that are critical in determining how the rest of the day would unfold. Possibly even, the rest of our week. So my 2 bit advice here. Focus on setting the mood. A happy one. Don't jump head first into tasks and meetings, however essential they may be. Your brain quickly adapts. So allow it just some time to get a grip of the setting and that feel of being back in office. Let it feel happy. Not chaotic. Let it feel in control of things. Rather than controlled by things. Breathe in. Breathe out. Most importantly, prepare yourself to enjoy your work and the wonderful week that waits ahead! #masterplan #hr #mondaymotivation #workplace #mind #thoughts

Reduce Work Stress! April is National Stress Awareness Month and in today’s world, it can be easy to get stressed-out or buried in our many computer tasks at work. But as humans, we are also social beings who benefit both mentally and physically from human connection, a sense of community, and a positive work environment where people feel valued and supported. Human connection in the workplace can help promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork, which often leads to increased creativity and problem solving, as well as a stronger sense of community within the organization. A sense of connection at work helps improve job satisfaction and helps reduce stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression. Therefore, it brings us great joy to share a video montage of HoG staff connecting over the last few years. We hope you enjoy! Below are some great ways to reduce stress by promoting human connection: 1. Encourage colleagues to get to know each other at team meetings, team lunches, or by volunteering. 2. Recognize achievements and celebrate accomplishments: Express gratitude and appreciation for colleagues to foster a positive work culture and a sense of connection. 3. Encourage Communication: Encouraging open communication among employees is a great way to foster human connection in the workplace. 4. Exercise: We are fortunate to have an onsite gym at HoG! Take a walk break with a colleague or buddy. 5. Stretch: Be sure to stretch periodically when you are sitting at the computer for a long period of time. #NationalStressAwarenessMonth

Mondays are tough. You need to get into the flow of a new workweek while still in weekend mode, and for some reason, things often go wrong on a Monday. Did you feel disempowered by something today? Was it your colleague or your boss that was mean to you? Or is a client unhappy about the project you signed off on Friday? Take a moment to think about this instant when you felt disempowered. Is it really true that the person involved disempowered you? Or is it possible that you're not clear about how you choose to respond in these situations? It's easier to react in the spur of the moment, but we often disempower ourselves when we react this way. If you want to be empowered you need to learn to respond and create functional boundaries about how you will respond. Now let's get back to your recent disempowering experience. How do you choose to respond in a similar situation? And what boundaries will you create for yourself? #healthyboundaries #empower #respond
