Let’s look at the facts 🥔 Irish Potato (100g) Calories - 77cal Fibre - 1.8g Contains potassium, Vit C, B6 🍠 Sweet potato (100g) Calories - 86cal Fibre - 3g Contains Vit C, A, B6, B5, Manganese, Copper, potassium As you can see similar calories, the main dietary differences are in the amount of fibre and micronutrients Some people are scared that since sweet potato is sweet, it contains more carbs and therefore has significantly more calories or that it’s bad for people with high blood sugar That’s absolutely not true! Sweet potatoes are amazing for your blood sugar thanks to their high fibre content, and thanks to generally low calories are amazing for weight loss too! With a wide range of protein powders available, including whey, pea, or hemp protein, making a shake or smoothie takes just a few minutes. Blend with water, milk, or a milk alternative, and add fruits or vegetables for extra nutrition. When eating out or planning meals, prioritize dishes with a good protein source at their core. Think grilled chicken, fish, tofu, legumes, or lean beef. Your next question is likely “How much protein do i need every day?” I recommend my clients do the following: For all adults, aim for protein intake within the range of 0.8 to 1 gram per pound of body weight per day. For example, a person weighing 132 pounds should aim for approximately 105.6 to 132 grams of protein daily to support their fitness goals, health, and muscle maintenance.
