Spending time with your friends and family can benefit your mental health, so don't forget that there are people who love you and will be there for you. 2. Reach out for help when needed Asking for help is not a bad thing. Despite the stigma that is still present, asking for help is not a sign of weakness or failure. It is the exact opposite. Connect with nature Being in nature can be highly cathartic and peaceful and has been scientifically proven to help our mental and physical health. So why not try it and do something as simple as talking and walking outside? 4. Practice meditation This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but meditation is a great practice to calm the mind and relax the nervous system.
