🚌 As the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round, let's make sure our kids stay safe and sound. Here are five important school bus safety reminders every parent and child should know: 1. Walk Safely 🚶: Walk your child to the bus stop and wait together at least 6 feet (or 3 giant steps) away from the curb until the bus arrives. 2. Wait for the Signal 🛑: Always wait for the bus to come to a complete stop and ensure all traffic has stopped before getting on or off. 3. Cross Safely 🚸: If your child needs to cross the street, they should take 5 giant steps in front of the bus, make eye contact with the driver, and cross only when signaled it's safe. 4. Stay Seated 💺: Remind your child to stay seated while the bus is moving, keeping their head, arms, and hands inside the bus at all times. 5. Be Seen 👀: If your child drops something near the bus, they should tell the driver and make sure they are seen before picking it up. #BackToSchool #SchoolBusSafety

As students go back to school, it’s important to familiarize yourself with bus safety rules, including: 🚌 When approaching a school bus with flashing amber lights, SLOW DOWN and be PREPARED TO STOP. 🚌 When you see a stopped school bus with red lights flashing and stop arm activated, you MUST STOP. 🚌 When you approach an intersection where a school bus is stopped with red lights flashing and stop arm activated, you MUST STOP. 🚌 You MUST STOP at least ten feet away from the school bus. 🚌 You MUST WAIT until the red lights have stopped flashing and the stop arm has been withdrawn to begin moving. 🚌 DO NOT MOVE until all the children have reached a place of safety. Know your responsibility and keep children safe. #grahampackaging #safety #schoolsafety #backtoschool #backtoschoolsafety #bussafety #safetyfirst

Back-to-school is in full swing, and with it, we would like to share some safety tips to keep in mind when driving in school zones: - Put your phone away and pay attention to the roads. - Slow down and abide by posted school zone speed limits. - Never pass a school bus that is stopped to load or unload children. It is illegal in all 50 states. Also, never pass a school bus on the right; it is illegal and dangerous. - When a school bus is stopped with flashing red lights, traffic in both directions must stop. - The area 10 feet around a school bus is at the highest risk for a child to be hit, so give enough room to allow space for children to get on or off the bus.
