WELL Architecture Design Founder & Director - Creating places that enhance human wellness and well-being
Now and then, we witness the convergence of a truly remarkable project. In the construction industry we understand the challenge of turning a unique idea into a tangible reality, especially one that challenges the status quo. In short, it takes enormous trust and bravery to do things differently (and mainly from those holding the purse strings) In Singapore's enchanting city, the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel has achieved something extraordinary. They have completely reimagined the traditional concept of a resort hotel, typically sprawling across a few floors with pools, gardens, and restaurants. Instead, they have crafted a vertical urban resort hotel that stretches 35 floors high, accommodating 347 rooms. They have flipped the resort hotel on its end. What sets this project apart are the four open-air terraces, each with its own unique identity. These terraces not only provide a sanctuary from the scorching heat and humidity outside but also allow natural light and fresh air to permeate throughout the entire building. Instead of being buried deep in the bowels of the typical urban hotel, the Pan Pacific Orchard boldly showcases its remarkable features for all to see. Setting a new benchmark for hospitality in the urban landscape. It epitomizes genuine innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Probably most importantly it stands as a testament to the belief of all the stakeholders working together collectively to create something truly unique. #architecture #hospitality #innovation #Singapore #wellnessdesign #biophilicdesign

🏨 Imagine walking into a hotel that feels stuck in the past—a worn-out lobby, outdated furnishings, and lackluster amenities. Now picture another hotel nearby, sleek and modern, with state-of-the-art technology, contemporary decor, and luxurious facilities. Which one would you choose? Most likely, the second one. This scenario highlights the importance of continuous investment in the hotel industry. 🌟 🔑 In today’s dynamic hospitality landscape, staying competitive is crucial. Customers have high expectations—they seek personalized experiences, convenience, and top-notch services. To meet these demands, hotels must invest in their properties consistently. 🛠️ Investment in the hotel industry encompasses various aspects. First and foremost, it involves regular renovation and refurbishment. Outdated rooms and facilities can deter potential guests, while newly renovated spaces exude a sense of freshness and modernity. By investing in renovations, hotels can attract visitors who appreciate contemporary aesthetics and comfort. 🛋️✨ https://lnkd.in/gpDZeT8n #HospitalityIndustry #HotelInvestment #Renovation #GuestExperience #Modernization #TravelAndTourism #HotelManagement 🏨🔑🌟

Imperial 301 - The renovation, back to a hotel with Sarah Carrillo by CiT NETWORK This video will take you through the renovation of the Imperial Hotel, Longmont, CO. Guided tour with Sarah Carrillo and hosted by Nigel Aves. Longmont's history is quite fascinating, with stories ranging from ancient indigenous presence to its unique founding by Chicagoans! Here's a brief overview: Early Inhabitants: The land around Longmont has been home to various indigenous peoples for thousands of years, starting with the Clovis people about 14,000 years ago. The dry climate made permanent habitation challenging, but evidence suggests sporadic settlements by groups like the Folsom and Plano peoples. The Chicago-Colorado Colony: In 1871, a group of Chicagoans, led by Reverend Robert Collyer, envisioned a utopian town in Colorado. They established the "Chicago-Colorado Colony," selling memberships to finance the purchase of land near Longs Peak. By summer 1871, a planned town called Longmont, after the towering mountain, was up and running, with streets laid out in a grid pattern within a square mile. Early Growth and Industry: The arrival of the Colorado Central Railroad in 1873 boosted Longmont's economy. Agriculture flourished, and industries like the J.H. Empson Cannery and the Great Western Sugar Factory became major employers. Longmont even celebrated its agricultural heritage with "Pumpkin Pie Days" from 1899 to 1915, drawing crowds with thousands of pies! 20th-Century Transformations: The 20th century saw significant changes in Longmont. The Kuner-Empson cannery and Great Western Sugar factory closed, impacting the agricultural scene. However, new industries like IBM and the U.S. Air Traffic Control Center arrived, leading to population growth and a shift towards technology and services. Modern Longmont: Today, Longmont is a thriving city with a population of over 100,000. Its economy is diverse, encompassing technology, healthcare, education, and more. The city prides itself on its commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness, earning the nickname "Sunshine City" for its abundant sunshine and focus on renewable energy. This is just a glimpse into Longmont's rich history. The historic Main Street district in Longmont, Colorado is a vibrant and charming area with a rich history. Here are a few of the highlights: Visit Longmont Colorado: This visitor center is a great place to start your exploration of the district. They can provide you with information on local attractions, events, and dining. City of Longmont Callahan House: This 1892 Queen Anne-style house is a popular event venue and a beautiful example of Victorian architecture. St Stephen's Plaza: This historic plaza is a great place to relax and people-watch. It's also home to a number of shops and restaurants. Old Mill Park: This park features several 19th-century cabins, a gazebo, and gardens. It's a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city....

Title: Transforming the Waterfront Café and Restaurant in Port Sudan: Reinventing the Waterfront Experience Introduction: Imagine strolling along the vibrant waterfront of Port Sudan, with a gentle sea breeze caressing your face and the sound of waves providing a soothing backdrop. Now envision a redesigned waterfront café and restaurant that not only offers delectable cuisine but also enhances the interaction of people with the stunning coastal environment. This ambitious design aims to redefine the waterfront experience, creating a dynamic and inviting space for locals and tourists alike. Seamless Integration with the Waterfront: The new design seeks to blur the boundaries between the café/restaurant and the waterfront, fostering a harmonious relationship between the built environment and the natural beauty of the coast. Here's how this transformation will change the interaction of people with the waterfront: 1. Expansive Outdoor Seating: The redesigned café and restaurant will feature ample outdoor seating areas, strategically positioned to offer breathtaking views of the waterfront. Patrons will have the opportunity to dine and relax while immersing themselves in the serene coastal ambiance, creating an intimate connection between the culinary experience and the natural surroundings. 2. Flexible and Versatile Spaces: To accommodate different preferences and activities, the design will incorporate flexible seating arrangements. From communal tables for group gatherings to cozy nooks for intimate conversations, the variety of seating options will cater to diverse social interactions, encouraging people to engage with one another and the waterfront environment. 3. Waterfront Pathways: Promoting leisurely strolls and exploration, the design will introduce inviting pathways along the waterfront. These pathways will allow visitors to wander along the coast, taking in the scenic views, feeling the sand beneath their feet, and forming a deeper connection with the waterfront landscape. 4. Interactive Features: To further enhance the interaction with the waterfront, interactive features will be integrated into the design. This may include observation decks, art installations, or interactive displays that educate visitors about the local marine ecosystem and cultural heritage. Such elements will not only entertain and engage, but also encourage a sense of stewardship towards the environment. 5. Beach Access and Water Activities: Recognizing the appeal of water-based activities, the redesigned waterfront space will provide convenient access to the beach and offer opportunities for recreational pursuits. Whether it's swimming, kayaking, or simply dipping one's toes in the water, these activities will foster a deeper connection with the waterfront and encourage visitors to actively engage with the coastal environment. #WaterfrontRedesign #CommunityGathering #CoastalExperience #PortSudan #CulinaryHaven
