Interesting coincidence: Harvard Business Review just published an article about the relevance of archery to business leadership! https://lnkd.in/d2h7pRWh Here is a great quote right from the opening section: "with its emphasis on purposeful practice, mindful focus, mental toughness, and adaptability, [archery] provides some valuable lessons for today’s business leaders." Natasha Green, PMP, you are clearly ahead of the curve! The authors of this story, Juan-Carlos Holgado and Michael Watkins should work with you!

During my first year of college (not sure I want to admit how many years ago that was...) I took an archery course as my PE elective. It is a great sport that really helps with concentration and confidence, and can be a lot of fun (did you watch the amazing archery competitions at the #Olympics?). I was happy to hear that Natasha Green, PMP's organization, Hidden Gems Archery, is offering archery as a team-building activity for companies in the NY area. Their mobile setup makes it easy to set up a range with as little as 15 feet. Reach out to Natasha, and she can bring a one-target setup to your location for your leadership/HR team to test it out. They have been doing this work for over ten years, and adults love it - check out this video: https://lnkd.in/dVHEcTnE

A totally inspired day yesterday at the London #nfl, the Jacksonville Jaguars came from behind to ease with a 32-16 win over the New England Patriots in London. International Business and Executive Management Group Limited had their company day at Wembley, it was an action packed day full of fun! As #executiveleaders, it’s easy to get moving on the next thing before we celebrate our successes and achievements, especially the small wins. Celebration honors the work that has been done and shows #gratitude to the people who do it. By celebrating success, we reinforce the #motivation that will carry us through the next achievement. This is important for you individually as well as for your #organization. Take the time to step back and recognize the effort that went into achieving that big success or even a modest win, and do it authentically. You’ve probably seen the “going through the motions” type of celebrations in work environments that result in more rolled eyes than actual pride. Make sure you #celebrate immediately and in a meaningful way. Be specific about what was accomplished, how it made a #contribution, and why it’s important. At IBEM we always celebrate success, its important to have the #humanexperience and have some fun!

The Incredible Rise of Leicester City: A True Testament to Teamwork and Resilience In the 2015-2016 Premier League season, Leicester City achieved the impossible—winning the title against all odds. Their victory wasn't just about skill on the field; it was a perfect example of what dedication, belief, and teamwork can accomplish, even in the face of adversity. From being 5000/1 outsiders at the start of the season to lifting the Premier League trophy, Leicester City's journey teaches us that no dream is too big. Their triumph was built on unity, hard work, and a commitment to the collective goal, not individual glory. This victory serves as an inspiration for us all. In our careers, business, and personal lives, we can achieve extraordinary things when we work together, embrace challenges, and never give up, no matter the odds. This post ties the team's achievement to universal principles of teamwork and perseverance, making it relatable for a professional network. #LeicesterCity #Inspiration #Teamwork #Resilience #NeverGiveUp #Leadership #Success

If you have NEVER heard of the Savannah Banannas….well NOW is your chance Jesse Cole, the owner of this extraordinary business model is a phenom! Owner of Savannah Bananas, Creator of Banana Ball, Author of Fans First & Find Your Yellow Tux, Keynote Speaker
Before the biggest game in Savannah Bananas history at Nationals Park, I spoke to our group of 200+ people about the importance of doing more than just their job and how that is always been the Fans First way. I shared how the reason we are where we are today is because of that little extra and how are job is always bigger than just our job. I've been so inspired by watching everyone on our team from interns to my wife Emily Cole with how our people have always found a way to go out of their way for our fans and their teammates. With this now being our third MLB stadium and the expectations continuing to rise, I wanted our team know that giving that little extra was more important now than ever. Later that night after one of our most magical shows and experiences, our entire team and front office met and shared so many stories, shout outs and fans first moments that they created. I'm proud to say that their "little extra" shined bright at the Nation's Capital and for the 42,000 fans that went Bananas with us at Nationals Park.

A decade ago, Joe Mazzulla was an assistant at Division-II Fairmont State. Not long after that, he was an assistant with the G League's Maine Red Claws, hoping for a chance to become a head coach. Now, at 35 years old, he’s led the Boston Celtics to a championship. #TheComeUp

There's something powerful and unique about leadership when it is nurtured in an outdoor environment. Away from screens and boardrooms, the outdoors challenges us in unexpected ways, making us adaptable and resilient. #leadership #campjoy #getoutside https://lnkd.in/gWSV3ZP

It’s all in the comments!!!! The comment section is a great way to understand how your customers think and feel about the products and services you’re offering. Turning customer feedback into a campaign is just brilliant 🙂↕️👏👏 Going through the comments doesn’t have to feel like work either. You can start with a simple affinity mapping exercise. Just grab a bunch of comment, group them based on similarities, and start uncovering some themes!! ⚡️
Our Canadian community is always showing love so you know we had to show it right back 🇨🇦 Our very first streetcar is up & running in Toronto through the end of December - catch it if you can 🚋😉

Congratulations #MachineGames, #Bethesda, and #Xbox! I'm very happy to see Indiana Jones and the Great Circle come out. It has been a long journey for Indy. Machine Games is getting better and better with each release. And they look to be the perfect developer for Indy. I hope this is the first of several Indiana Jones adventures from Machine Games. Remember, the MachineGames folks who came from StarBreeze worked on the fantastic Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness games back in the day. There is a fantastic lineage of experience and play from The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (2004), The Darkness (2007), and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (2009) to Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014), The Old Blood (2015), The New Colossus (2017), and Young Blood (2019) to the just released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024). There is both individual and studio learning across two decades of First Person Adventures that gets us to from Chronicles of Riddick to The Darkness to Wolfenstein to Indiana Jones. This is game history in motion. Back in 2009 I almost went to LucasArts for the last Indiana Jones that LucasArts almost made. This was before Disney bought the six Lucas companies in 2012 for $4 billion. When that Indy was canceled in 2009, I instead went to id Software. At id Software I saw the care and attention that Machine Games had for Wolfenstein, while we worked on Rage & Doom. I also released Wolfenstein on Mobile and back onto consoles. Meanwhile MachineGames labored on Wolfenstein for over a decade putting out fantastic new Wolfenstein games to complement the classic. So yeah, if I can't make Indy, I'm happy that MachineGames is. I've seen and played MachineGames' work, directly and indirectly, for a long time. MachineGames is a fantastic steward for Indiana Jones in First Person Adventures. I hope that Indy and MachineGames have a rich and entangled future for a decade to come. I want to play the games they'll make. I have loved Indiana Jones since I was a kid. So I'm happy to inhabit Indy through a First Person window via the development wizardry, expertise, love, care, and craft from MachineGames. ps. As a former Looking Glass and id Software game designer I am so happy that Indiana Jones is a first person adventure. pps. Make good games to build good developers to make great studios to make great games. #indianajones #microsoft #xbox #gamepass #bethesda #machinegames
