Guiding teams and women executives through coaching, workshops and support for leadership & life. 2023 New Orleans Magazine Woman of Influence
Here in South Louisiana, crawfish season has sprung. I love getting together with family and friends to get messy and clink a cold glass. But this year, crawfish prices are through the roof! I know the hubs really loves me because he just boiled crawfish for my birthday. Yeah. That loan should be paid off by 2029. Sigh. On the business front, we are starting Q2. I would like to share with you a practice that has served me and my clients well. Reflect on the past quarter or month. In reflecting on March, I can sum up the month in one word: Devoted. You may know that my faith is vurry, vurry important to me and I had my best Lent evah. I launched my new women's program, Live and Lead by Choice and I am devoted to creating an ah-mazing experience for my members. And, sadly, my sister passed away, and I devoted time to be present to support my family and her friends. How would you characterize your past month or quarter? What went well? What didn’t go well? What will you do differently going forward? Read on for my featured article, where I explore how you can live and lead with greater intentionality. I work with clients – both individually and as a team – to help them to be more intentional in all the roles that they play in life. If you’d like a guide on the side, let’s get a discovery call scheduled asap so we can co-create the program that is best for you. I'd love to hear from you! Hit reply and remind me where you're receiving this and how we're connected.https://ecs.page.link/H8ZPa #seniorleadership #executiveleadership #womensleadership

Every Big Dream Begins with a Small Step 🌱✨ #DreamBig #CommunityDevelopment They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Well, the same goes for building a community! Every big dream you see realized in your neighborhood began as a tiny seed - an idea, an action, a single, brave step forward. 🚶♀️🚶 🌟 Start Where You Are Right now, someone is picking up a piece of litter, someone else is planting flowers in an old lot, and someone is opening their dream coffee shop. Small acts? Maybe. But they're the beginnings of something big. Each of these is a thread in the fabric of our community, weaving a story of growth and connection. 🌱 Nurture the Seed of Change Imagine planting a seed in your garden. It seems so small, almost insignificant. But with a bit of care and time, it grows into something beautiful. That's how it is with our community efforts. Each kind gesture, each new project, is a seed that can grow into a garden of change. 🎉 Celebrate the Little Things We're all about the wins here, big and small. Got a new bench in the park? Let's cheer for it. Cleaned up a graffiti wall? That's amazing. When we share these wins, we're not just telling what happened - we're showing what's possible when we pull together. ✨ Join the Story And you? You're a part of this too. Your story, your project, your vision for our neighborhood matters. It's a voice in our collective tale of building something great. So tell us, what's your first small step going to be? Let's keep lifting each other up, one story, one step at a time. Because these stories - they're not just ours. They're the chapters of our community, and every single one adds to the narrative we're writing together. #SmallSteps #CommunityGrowth #MakeAnImpact

Transforming businesses | Business Coach | Executive & Personal Coach | NED | Motivational Maps |Anthropist |
🌿 Reflecting on my time with The Body Shop I've come to deeply appreciate the integrity that permeated its core values. Beyond the public spotlight, there existed a profound commitment to embodying its ethos in every aspect of operation. One inspiring initiative that epitomizes this dedication is our collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund through the creation of Endangered Species Animal Soaps. These products, spanning from soap animals to flannels and T-shirts, served as more than just merchandise. They became catalysts for education and fundraising in 56 countries, shedding light on the plight of endangered species worldwide. Our journey led to the establishment of Soapworks Ltd, a bespoke company nestled near Easterhouse, a community grappling with staggering unemployment rates and limited opportunities. In a region where hope was scarce, Soapworks emerged as a beacon of change, offering meaningful employment to those in need. But our commitment didn't stop there. Recognizing the dearth of play facilities for children in Easterhouse, we embarked on a mission to transform the landscape. Through tireless negotiation and collaboration with community leaders, schools, and the Glasgow Parks Department, we secured funding and brought to life a vibrant playground envisioned by the children themselves. This endeavor exemplifies The Body Shop's unwavering dedication to environmental activism and community empowerment. It's a testament to our belief in the Triple Bottom Line accounting — valuing People, Profit, and Planet in equal measure. In retrospect, our journey with The Body Shop transcended mere business; it was a testament to the transformative power of conscious capitalism. Together, we didn't just make products; we nurtured communities and safeguarded our planet's future. And for that, I'm immensely proud to have been a part of this remarkable journey. 🌍💚 #TheBodyShop #Sustainability #CommunityImpact

Farmer Markets ++ Farmers markets serve as social hubs where people can gather, fostering relationships between farmers, consumers, and local businesses. Creating a successful farmers market involves careful planning, community engagement, and ongoing management. Steps for Implementation: *Identify potential funding sources such as grants, sponsorships, or partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits. * Select a central, accessible location with high foot traffic, ample parking, and adequate space for vendors and customers. Consider public spaces such as parks, community centers, or town squares. * Navigate local regulations related to food safety, permits, zoning, and health codes. Collaborate with health departments to ensure compliance. * Choose a consistent day and time for the market that aligns with community needs and seasonal availability of products. Consider whether to have a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule. *Develop a marketing strategy to promote the market through social media, local newspapers, flyers, and community boards. Highlight the benefits of shopping local. * Incorporate live music, cooking demonstrations, or children’s activities to make the market a social destination. Provide adequate seating, shade, and rest areas for customers.
