Traction Advisory has had the honor of supporting Gender Fair: A Public Benefit Corporation these past several years - and, in particular, helped launch the Coalition for Gender Fair Procurement in partnership with forward-thinking organizations LogitechZoetisQuinnox and Salesforce.
Our goal is to leverage the TRILLIONS spent per year in corporate procurement to create greater gender equity within the supply chain.
The group's efforts work alongside supplier diversity (today, only 6% of the corporate spend goes to diverse suppliers) and focuses on igniting action from the non-diverse vendor incumbents.

Global institutions play a significant role in advancing gender equality.
From the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to grassroots movements, international cooperation is key to creating lasting change.
How the international community advocates for women:
1. Funding crucial initiatives.
2. Holding nations accountable.
3. Facilitating knowledge exchange.
4. Setting global standards and goals.
5. Providing platforms for diverse voices.
While progress has been made, there's still work to do.
How can we better leverage international cooperation for gender equality?

#Women_Empowerment 🤷♀️: Women Equality In Action!🙋♀️
For centuries, women have been trying, striving, and working hard long enough to be recognized and respected as co-equal of men in every regard, rightwise and opportunitywise, however, their long-fought struggle haven't given them the result they're aiming to achieve:
Remove #sexual_bias against women and to shatter the #glass_ceiling to realize their full potential as productive members of civilized society.
But, as early1990s, the arduous acceptance of women to non-traditional or by public perceptions, roles reserved or only appropriate for men, is starting to wane and now, moving towards #women_empowerment leading to the eventual parity with men.
As of late, women have shown they can level the playing field in politics, business, sports, science, military, etc. and really can lead and excel even in traditionally, man's arena.
Women's struggle have gone the long route, simply because, most customs and traditions that they've born and grown up with treat women as:
▪inferior to man
▪belonging to a weaker sex
▪whose main roles are confined to
childbearing and taking domestic care
of the family
Anything beyond that marked borders is taboo or unacceptable or even punishable to some degree.
Good thing their "never give up" mindset and enabling help of right-conscious civil society, mass media, and the extensive reach and profound use of social media platforms, made easy by internet technology, and pro-women men have given women effective voice to their deprived plight and crusade.
Without a doubt and pretension, that in many parts of the world, particulary, in Africa and Asia, women inequality still persists and a lot of work yet need to be done for the full fruition of their causes at national and local level of their countries.
The world must recognize that women are just as important and as deserving as men are in nation-building and any worthy endeavors.
Downgrading them to traditionally stereotyped role is an unforgivable injustice to their womanhood. Never again do we look down on them.
In fact, the least that the world can do is to set them at equal footing with men for all their untold sacrifices and understanding, would we care? Yes, well-meaning person like Mr. Gates does (https://lnkd.in/gDPbdrK3), why can't the rest of us do the same, anyone?🤔🙋♂️
