Women with gynecological cancers are near and dear to my heart, so much so that I founded Below The Waist, Inc a few years ago. A part of our mission is to provide financial assistance to women undergoing active treatment for a gynecological cancer. We provide financial assistance in the following ways: -Medical bills (including co-pays) -Gas -Groceries -Medical transportation Cancer treatment can be expensive, even with insurance, short and long term disability. We want to ensure patients with a gynecological cancer can receive the proper care and focus on their healing journey vs worrying about everyday costs. For those who don't know, Scott Pirrello and his team at the San Diego County District Attorney's Office run the Elder Justice Task Force (EJTF) dedicated to identifying, investigating, and disrupting scam networks that target older adults locally in San Diego. Senior Tech Connect. This work is extremely important, especially given the influx of new tactics and cyber scams - so much so that we stream the '60 Minutes' episode featuring the EJTF San Diego whenever we present on Top Senior Scams. Senior Tech Connect is looking forward to collaborating with Scott's team to provide #Cybersecurity workshops and other resources to help older adults (especially those vulnerable to cyber crime) throughout #SanDiego County over the next few months.
