FRIDAY’S FOCUS: THE PRESSING IS PRODUCING! “Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option.” (2 Corinthians 4:8) Grapes like olives cost but are even more valuable when pressed because of what’s inside of them. Today let’s talk about the grapes. There’s two things that you can do with them: (1) nurture them with your hand or (2) crush them under your feet for making wine. The Lord endured His own painful process to grow us into something that would become what He already is. Christ is the person gathering the grapes of our lives, having to reach between our branches to obtain them and risk getting pricked and bruised by the thorns we use to protect ourselves. Simultaneously, He is the person who treads the grapes in the press, getting His feet scarred in the process. Looking at Christ, we should see that He is making wine out of us and His own bruised places because it’s in the crushing vats that the wine of the grapes and the blood of His feet are mixed. He paid a personal cost for our transformation. Likewise, it costs you something to be great – it costs you everything! Regardless of where you find yourself in life, a price was paid to be there. This sounds like a simple truth, but you would be surprised by the number of people who never consider what it cost God to redeem mankind. Jesus was given in exchange for them then to be where they are and be who they are today! Yes! Jesus is the something of extreme value for you and I in order to become the person God has called us to be. Most people don’t realize that pressure can cause producing. The pressing of grapes produces wine; the pressing of olives produce oil; and the pressure on a planted seed produces its harvest. It’s at life’s most pressing times that you’re producing wine, oil or a harvest. Most people don’t realize that when trying times and troubles come—so does the opportunity to produce something of great value. The pressure will produce, and bring it forth. This is why God said that He can work things for our good. There’s a seed of greatness that lives inside of you, but it must be cultivated as He guides you through the various seasons of change. Now it’s in the changes of life—the pressures that the costliest transactions take place. You’re being crushed right now, but there is something of value in you that will come forth as a result of it. So don’t fret neither sweat the process because something good is about to happen in you; through you; and for you! That’s for sure! YOU'RE MAKING WINE!

“How long does it take to know this, mama?” I asked my mother, as she winnowed rice, to prepare my favorite food. She handled me the winnowing tray, and to my dismay, I nearly spilled half the rice. “I thought it was easy” I cried, but my mother chuckled and guided my hand. The next day, I tried winnowing again, but it was so hard, that I gave up. Later, I saw a girl my age, smoothly winnowing the beans. Feeling dejected, I walked back home and sat beside my mother. “what's wrong sweetheart?” she asked in her motherly tone that always made me open up about my troubles. I explained how was it possible for a girl my age to winnow and I couldn’t. “Winnowing requires patience, skills, and understanding,” she explains softly, though she didn’t fully answer my question. That was ten years ago. today, I’m still not good at it. But I’ve learned it reflects the journey of self-discovery. Just as rice has both potential (the grain) and obstacles (the chaff). winnowing teaches us to focus on what truly matters while letting go of what holds us back. It requires strength and confidence to toss the rice, just as we need to believe in our strengths and potential. Expectations from others can act as chaff, clouding your vision and dampening your aspirations, but just as the wind separates the grain from the husk, you have the power to blow away these limitations. Winnowing is a deliberate process with a clear goal. Know what you want to attain, whether it’s in education, career, or personal development. Obstacles are growth opportunities, embrace challenges, and once the winnowing is complete, the result is pure, valuable rice. Celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how little they may seem.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 🔥𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐋 I could recall one fateful evening after a long and tiring day at school, I decided to step out of my room and enjoy the warm and quiet Oye-Ekiti environment. With just a few steps, I noticed my landlady cooking her home-made delicacy and I quickly got drawn to the logs of wood fetched from a mildly-dense forest in our neighbourhood, quietly combusting into red hot flames over the eventide fire. I stood transfixed to a spot, exchanged pleasantries and stared in amazement not because it was my first time of experiencing this event rather it was quite an amusing experience as I discovered a gem lying waste in a rubble. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨: The dry log of wood has little or no economical value but it still serves as a valuable tool for cooking. It takes a life devoid of self for God to use, a broken and contrite heart devoid of personal gain. 2 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒚 2:21 𝑨𝑴𝑷 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔 "𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆, 𝒊𝒇 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒊𝒎𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 [𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆—𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒖𝒍], 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝒗𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒍 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓, 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅 [𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅], 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓, 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌. The Combustion process is similar to pruning process where God burns out impurities that might hinder us from growing in him. We experience mild discomfort at this stage but it is part of the developmental process. 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 15:2 𝑨𝑴𝑷𝑪 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔 "𝑨𝒏𝒚 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕 [𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈] 𝑯𝒆 𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 (𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇𝒇, 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚); 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕, 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒔". I graciously watched how a young boy gently fanned the firewood to ensure the fire spreads evenly across the log of wood and ensured that the food was well cooked. If the firewood had been an animate object, It would have resisted the implementation of this noble act that would fan it into flames (reach its peak performance level). Most times to reach the fullness of our potential or become better versions of ourselves we have to go through seemingly difficult situations that stretches us beyond our comfort zone which we often disdain because of the discomfort it causes. 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐬🏆, the growth process may seem daunting and unachievable, but we should keep striving. Just as firewood is fanned into flames, our efforts will ultimately yield worthwhile results. I remain Oluwatobiloba Adebayo, your partner in progress. 🏅𝐖𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐧🏆.

We started this year with the slang "𝙉𝙤 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮"? It's just the first leg of the second quarter and it seems like some of us are defeated! We are using this quote "When life gives you lemon, make lemonade" But instead we should use, 'When life gives you lemons, throw them back and ask for wine' Respond boldly and demand for something better than the lemons life handed you. So, even if life is tough, demand for something better by showing your work - Effort. Remember, life does not give you what you desire, rather it gives you what you deserve. #effort #work #fishcoach

FRUITS AND HARVESTS!!💖💛 One thing I'd like to tell you is that I'm a collector of "Memorable Phrases."😍 💫I love to write in my notebook with my fist and in my handwriting every sentence that I know can encourage both me and others. 💥Today I read this phrase: "Every challenge, every adversity, contains within itself the seeds of opportunity and growth." ✨️What happens if we plant a little seed of our favorite fruit in our garden, wake up tomorrow, and have the tree full of that delicious fruit? IMPOSSIBLE!!!😱 💫Something similar happens with the challenges, goals, and objectives that we set for ourselves in the short or long term. Maybe today we see everything negatively. Doubts haunt us, time presses us, and stress and discouragement follow closely behind us, trying to convince us that we will not achieve our goals.🙄 ✨️But if we are patient, dedicated, and objective in the face of these setbacks, if we visualize the sweet fruit of victory that we will soon taste, 🤩if we learn to enjoy every process, every step, and every small achievement, we will not be watching every second of Our day waiting for our seeds to grow-will come, but for the time being, we will strive even harder to enjoy of the process. Remember:"JUST WHEN WE DO NOT SEE THE SUN ON A CLOUDY DAY DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT DOESN'T EXIST"💯💛 Even if it's hard to be positive, your reward will come soon.❤️😍 #PATIENCE #PROCESS #FRUIT #VICTORY

Your life is like a tree. On this tree there are fruits. In life, our fruits are called our results. So we look at the fruits (our results) and we don’t like them; there aren’t enough of them, they’re too small, or they don’t taste good. So what do we tend to do? Most of us put even more attention and focus on the fruits, our results. But what is it that actually creates those particular fruits?

Salt vs Rice Inspirational story If you were to cook 3 cups of rice, would you add 3 cups of salt to it? Certainly not! So, in every preparation of rice, the rice always outnumbers the salt, yet a little salt makes a huge difference /impact on the overall outcome. In the room in which you currently are, look up at the ceiling... What is the size of the bulb compared to the size of the room? It is probably a ratio of 1:5000. Yet, darkness flees the entire space once the small bulb is flipped on. If I am the salt of the earth, and the light of the world, then "little me" has the ability to make big things happen. Sometimes, because we feel outnumbered or overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of evil or wrong-doers, we choose powerlessness and decide to go with the flow, not standing up for what we believe is right. Little doesn't mean insignificant. You are significant. Your presence should make a BIG difference. Stop waiting to be on the side of the majority. They may be the majority, but they are the trivial majority, and you are the impactful minority. They are the rice of the world, and you are the salt of the world. They are the room and you are the light. Make your influence felt! Remember you are the world's seasoning, to make it beautiful. So if we can just do the right seasoning to make even one life beautiful our life is worth living. Have a blessed day Onwards and Upwards! Be the salt or the light in someone's life today.

**Title: Perpetuating Purpose: Turning Life's Lemons into Sweet Lemonade** In the grand theater of life, each of us is bestowed with a unique purpose—a guiding force that propels us forward, even when faced with the tart taste of life's lemons. The essence of a purposeful existence lies not just in weathering storms but in the art of transforming adversity into opportunity, making lemonade out of the lemons life hands us. When life presents its challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, as if the lemons are too sour to savor. However, the true mark of resilience is found in our ability to perpetuate our purpose despite the bitterness that may linger. It's an unwavering commitment to keep marching forward, extracting sweetness from every setback. The metaphorical lemons that life throws our way can take various forms—failures, setbacks, unforeseen obstacles. Yet, it's in these moments of adversity that our purpose can shine the brightest. Instead of succumbing to the sourness, we have the power to turn these challenges into opportunities for growth and transformation. Consider a setback not as a roadblock but as a detour leading you to unexpected discoveries. In the face of failures, see the potential for learning and refinement. Life's lemons are not meant to extinguish your purpose but to refine and strengthen it. Every challenge becomes a chance to reassess, adapt, and emerge with a renewed sense of purpose. Turning life's lemons into lemonade is not a passive acceptance but an active, creative response. It's about embracing a mindset that views setbacks as raw ingredients for a concoction of resilience and wisdom. Just as a skilled chef can turn humble lemons into a refreshing drink, we can extract positivity and growth from life's challenges. Moreover, the process of making lemonade out of life's lemons is a testament to our agency in shaping our narrative. It's a reminder that, regardless of the circumstances, we have the power to choose how we respond. We can choose bitterness or we can choose sweetness—each decision shaping the trajectory of our purpose. In conclusion, perpetuating your purpose is not a fair-weather commitment. It's a promise to persist even when faced with the tartness of life's lemons. Embrace challenges as opportunities, setbacks as stepping stones, and failures as catalysts for growth. By infusing your journey with resilience and creativity, you not only perpetuate your purpose but craft a life rich with the sweetness of accomplishment and purposeful living.
