Three weeks and counting ! It’s just several weeks until the amphibious aviation industry attends the first-of-a-kind Future Opportunities for Seaplanes and Amphibious Aviation event being held in Venice and produced by QUAYNOTE COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED. The lineup of speakers is VERY impressive, and the moderators are leaders in their field, so I am proud that Jekta is sponsoring this conference. I’m particularly looking forward to meeting other like-minded OEMs who recognize the benefits of sustainable amphibious aviation and how it can change our travelling world. We’re intrigued to hear what the financial panel has to say about why the VTOL sector still attracts so much attention when there is so much more scope for amphibious aviation to be integrated into the global air transport network. And I’m very curious to find out more about what the customer expects. We think we know, but maybe we need to explore this even further. The cocktails hosted by Nicelli Airport at their own beautiful 1930s-style terminal will provide the perfect backdrop for networking. If you operate, work in, or want to connect with the amphibious aviation sector then you really need to be attending this event. Click here to register for what is one of the most welcome additions to the aerospace calendar in years. See you in Venice! #flyingboats #Regionalaviation #amphibiousaviation #seaplane #JektaSwiss #FOSAA #sustainableaviation #zeroemissions #quaynote #nicelliairport

𝗗𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗘? In a few days the 23rd edition of annual #EBACE takes place at the Palexpo in Geneva hosted by European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and National Business Aviation Association. The main concept is about a trade show within #businessaviation, mainly business to business and a static display presenting latest #privatejet models. Since its inception in year 2000 the show always took place at Geneva airport having the convenience of an static display for aircraft at the airport, a large multi-hall exhibition and conference center all within walking distance. I have personally attended more than a dozen of these events. My question is whether we still need such a format or whether the time has come for a change. The show has certainly constantly improved and has become better and better over the years. However, this has been more of an iterative improvement process than an evolution. I strongly think the format is at its end hence neither one of our GlobeAir #DreamTeam nor me are attending this year. My observation over the last few years has been that more and more well-known #bizav companies and service providers are pulling out and no longer exhibiting, for various reasons, hugely driven by exploding costs. This year well known #businessjet OEMs Bombardier and Gulfstream Aerospace pulled out too. I know #EBAA is appreciating those signals and evaluating future options but nothing materialised yet. My very personal opinion is that this current format is at its end and a totally new approach is very much needed. Our business avation industry still speaks too much within the peer group, but for my taste more visibility to the end user and the public is needed to demonstrate the multiple values this industry brings to society and the #economy. What are my peers thinking about this?
